s13 wont move in reverse! help!

Hey guys, this is my first thread so forgive me if I can't explain this the best. Ok so a couple months back I pulled a welded diff out of a friends 240 and threw it and my car and it worked fine. No issues. Not long after that it blew a head gasket so it sat for a month or so. I just got it fixed last week so I drove it two days and I pulled into the gas station the other day and when I tried to back up to leave it felt like the rear end was binding up and it would not move. It went forward but it didn't like it, so I finally got it to back up but it seemed like it was still trying to bind up. On the way home the rear end felt strange through the corners almost like the rear was trying to hop or something. I put the car on jack stands and tried to turn the wheel by hand and it wouldn't budge. My brakes on the back have been metal to metal for some time and I don't know if the caliper could have locked up on it or not. I'm kinda thinking the welds busted loose in the diff but I'm not sure. Any help will be appricated. Thanks!

Do I have to completely drop the diff to check it or can I just pull the backplate off?

Just lift up the rear end and put the transmission in neutral. and hand brake off

try spinning the rear wheels back and fourth by hand. should be easy *to rotate ,

if not than something is wront with the diff

if it spins both ways free than it might be the reverse gear.

Well, it spins free both ways. I guess that elimates the diff as a possibility. Maybe driveshaft carrier bearing?
