Garage Collective S13 drift build

Had a bit of time to post some pics here if you guys are interested to see my new build for this drift season. Last years car kicked the bucket. the shell was rusted out and it was good for learning but time to get into something solid.

My goal for this car is to keep it clean, keep it looking aggressive, and stylish. to me thats mostly what drifting is. Not about huge power, eventually i just want 400 range. Last year the old build dyno'd at 306hp/316tq. My build uses all original authentic parts.
Its in the early stages im falling way behind as the first event is in a week. clearly going to miss that one.

I dont really want to type lots of description for every picture. Im more focused on my instagram and facebook pages. so if you like what you see i encourage you to follow those. as they are up to date and properly sorted.
club/lifestyle brand a friend and i started called Garage Collective.
Instagram: Garage_Collective
Facebook: facebook.com/garagecollectivedrift

ok heres some pics. starting from when i drove down to ohio from toronto to grab the shell.

today i started with the tubs. cut out the oem ones. planing on running a tube for reinforcement. no point in building sheet metal tubs since its a track only car.
just waiting on a welder to finish all the welding.

Thanks for the positive vibes so far guys. I'm also excited to see it finished.

Tricky_ab I ended up using pat at cyrious garageworks to do the cage for me since I don't have the proper tools or enough experience . Highly recommended he knows his shit and is a fellow drifter doing his thing so we gotta support eachother right.

ok so heres the plan for this. ive been held back by lack of a welding machine lol.
but managed to get everything pre fabbed. stuff needs to be trimmed up and cut straight since it was made from scrap. but the bends are ready to go etc.
not sure if ill run those extra little tubes . it might be mostly looks..im sure it will have some strength to but...

ok so i acquired a welder finally from a buddy. this would be my second time trying mig. im new to setting up the machine n what not. and i didnt have material to practice. even if i did im more of the fuck it dive right in type. and thats kind of what i did with the plate on the shock tower. machine wire speed was to fast. so i made a small mess but its not bad i can clean that up easily. I ended up getting it right by slowing it down. so for now its just somewhat tacked to see what it looks like. debating running that extra small tube. I would have to notch it somehow.
I managed to cut the main tube BANG on after multiple cuts. the bends made by my friends shop from the template i made out of copper pipe are perfect. lucky.
my cousin who welds for a living is gonna come by tomorrow and give me a hand to finish up this side. and ill post a better pic when its looking nice.
overall im happy so far.

once i trim the plate on the shock tower smaller. it wont look like its on an angle like in the pics. I know it looks kind of shady right now but it wont stay like this.
