Wheel Fitment.....I'm a NOOB, Please dont Flame Me!

Hey guys ...I just picked up my S13 Vert about a week ago. I'm new to 240's and so far this site has helped me out BIG time with wiring for the JDM headlights, getting the parts for my SR swap(going in this weekend), etc....

The next problem I have is wheels. I have an extra set of 18's that I used to have on my R33 GTS and when I sold the car I kept the wheels.

I was just wondering if anyone here can help me find out if I'm going to have a problem with fitment before I waste my time with trial and error.

They are:

Front- 18” x 8” 45- offset
Rear 18” x 9” 45- offset

I'm assuming I'm going to have to get longer studs for the front and throw on some spacers.

Opinions? Maybe someone has tried this size before?

Thanks for the help guys, and please....dont beat up the new guy got an elementry post

Steve

no no no no those are like +45 and absolutely horrid offsets. You want something in the +12-+20 range.

That is of course unless you like sunken battleships and being laughed at, then they are perfect.

Hahahaha, I'm just trying to make due with what I got. Between buying the car, the swap, and the JDM nose, I thought using a set of volks laying around was like winning the lottery!

You can use those and spacers to make them sit flush if you want?

Just get bolt on spacers and you won't need longer studs

They are perfectly safe. Project kics 20mm-25mm spacers should do just fine for you.

http://phase2motorsports.stores.yaho...1530spkit.html

those would put you in the +20 range as stated by drift freaq

I'm actually interested in a similar setup as well.

What tire size are you using in the front?

Wait a second. You sold an R33 and got a 240? Whatever.

Even though the R33 was non turbo, you would have been much better off swapping a motor into it. Of course, in make-believe land, I'm sure anything is possible.

Well, first the R33 was turbo. Ever hear of the RB25DET? You spent all that time in Japan and didn’t know that? I'm surprised someone of your intelligence didn’t know that.

I had the Skyline for over a year and was annoyed that I had so much money tied up in it. So I sold it, paid off my bike and my truck and put some cash in the bank. I picked up the vert and I'm just having some fun with it.

Maybe you should print this out and read it in "make-believe land".....I'm assuming that’s where your brain probably is. Or maybe you should pull your head out of your ass and try reading it again.

Oh course it was n/a!! He thought it would be cool to put a front mount on just for the pic so that someone as brilliant as yourself could tell HIM what was done to HIS car. Thank God Sherlock Holmes is on zilvia to point out the obvious. Make-believe land? Go back to playing Gran Turismo

No I havent heard of the RB25det, what's that? Of course I've heard of it.

Actually, I didnt look at the pictures...I posted when I was at work, and the government computers block all picture hosting sites.

I read his first post, and it said R33 GTS. A GTS is the trim level for a non turbo car. Now if he said R33 GTS-t, that would mean it was turbo.

It just didnt make any sense to sell it, and get a 240 because you were annoyed with the money you spent on it. Either way, it doesnt really affect me at all.

Well your both wrong lol

R-33 Never came as a GTS-T - RB20DET

Only
GTS - 2.0 L RB20E
GTS25 - 2.5 L RB25DE
GTS-4 - 2.5 L RB25DE
GTS25T -2.5 L RB25DET

So NJShoreS13 had an GTS-25T - RB25DET

The Red and White GT badge should have given it away that it was a turbo model
Along with the 5 lug hubs

White and Red= Turbo
White and Blue= Non-Turbo

i wouldnt even go with a 20mm spacer. they dont really recommend more then 10mm without long studs. i'd just go with 10mm unless you like the "wheel sticking out alil past fender" look.
