S13 1990 2 Switches at Clutch Pedal?
I have one switch with a button and when you depress the clutch pedal there is a hole in the bar which doesn't press the button.
There are "??" where the hole is. What is this switch and why the hole? ************************************************** ********** Then there is another switch higher up. What is this switch for? |

The first switch is the interlock switch. Clutch has to be pressed to start car. The second is for the cruise controll, if you touch the clutch pedal it disengauges the cruise controll. The hole is supposed to have a little stopper in it. They are bad about falling out.

i guess its a safety feature, so you have to have your foot depressed to start the car. |

The switch that is closest to the firewall is the interlock switch. It requires the little plug thing. The one closest to you (or the seat) is for the cruise control. It actually doesn't use the same stopper so I can't say why your cruise control isn't working.

The switch with two green wires is the cruise cancel. Interlock switch will have a black wire on it.
