I'm looking forward to mingling with the rex crowd this weekend... anyone else care to join me? If nothing else, it'll be a great opportunity to meet new people and find new potential touge partners. ...
If any other zilvians (or 240ers) are going out, it'd be a good chance to meet up, too!

I'll be there with my FC. We usually race the local mountains around here. Where are you from?

I'm up in Down Town LA, and will be representing a friend's FC convertible (who can't be @ sevenstock because he's out of the country.) The funny thing is I won't be representing the FC by bringing it out, i'll be representing it/him by coming out myself in my boro 240. he doesn't want me driving the FC too much, only once a month (or so) to give the engine some juice once in a while.
I take it you're in the Irvine area, and mean to say that you run the mountaints around Irvine?

Yup in in Laguna Niguel (10 mins south of Irvine). The mountains we head up to are Ortega most often because its the closest but we've been out to Glendora and Palomar. What color 240 do you have? I'll keep an eye out. I have a white series 4 FC (NA) with exhaust as the only visable mod I guess.

Originally I was going to take my friend's red FC 'vert down, but since that fell through, I'll probably drive down in my red 240sx... it's boro, you can't miss it... black steelies, 4x4 height, no mods except tires and a blue drivers side headlight cover and fender. (I got hit) ... I'm going to be sticking out like a sore thumb!
Only 'visible' mod? ... so what do you have on your FC that's NOT visible?

the description of my boro mostly-red-but-with-some-blue S13 hatch is a few posts up. What are you bringing down? Your S14 (avatar?) or do you have a Rex?

How did the meet go? A couple of my friends drive 7's and held their own meet here in Michigan today. Good turnout, we had a lot of fun.

"good turnout" in michigan? Trust me when I say you CAN'T IMAGINE how many 7s there were today (yesterday) !!! I was absolutely blown away by the number of cars, the number of nice cars, and the absence of hot girls!
(okay, not so much the last one, but I was disappointed. ) I imaine I saw about 300 cars? ... but I only stayed for 3 hrs of the 7 1/2 hour event, and I'm sure there were loads more cars parked around the vicinity that couldn't find parking on mazda premeses.
It was ammmaaaaaazing. Tell your 7 friends that they have to come out to CA for sevenstock 6 next year!

When I say good turnout in Michigan I mean like 25-30 cars. There isn't much of anything around here for imports so that was damn good.

haha... you probably did! It's hard to miss a red 240sx w/ one blue fender and one blue headlight cover. I didn't get there until late (~1:30pm) so I wasn't there for much of the show. There were some *sick* cars there though!
