Zenki or Kouki?

I just purchased an S14 Blacktop SR20DET motor. What s14 is it? Is it the s14 zenki or kouki? Here are some pictures....Thanks in advance.

all depend son the year of the motor. Zenki usually runs with a OBD1 type harness, which most s14 harness rewiring write ups are based off of. and Koukis have a OBD2 type harness. Little different.

WTF? they are all OBD1 -- Japan never had OBD2 as far as I know. The ecu is the easiest way to tell.

NA = Kouki

WC= Zenki

IIRC

I do not know did not do my own wiring. Had Yuri do it from wiring specialties. I know the ecu pin outs are different from the zenki to kouki and the Apexi for the kouki sr20det is called a Series 3 on the programmer. So, I would think that was three revisions. Do not know what they are exactly. The s14b, s14a, s15 all have sr20dets and all have different wiring.

Lol tell me about it. Five years ago i purchased a s13 sr20det red top and it cost me $2k. I did a lot of research and finally found a good reliable guy in NY. He hooked me up and gave me the radiator and the whole oem smic/piping for free.

Its a Kouki Engine

Zenki Engine Valve cover uses the stud nut combo
Kouki's use a bolts for the V/C
