go with 3 near the cone and maf until right b4 the throttle body, go to 2.5"
thats how the injen intake is i believe. as far as extending the wires, you have two options. add wire and splice or add wire and splice. take a look 2 the project closely and try and figure it out on ur own, youll see it is very self explanitory. |

I used a cheap ebay intake as the cross pipe. Seriously, I think it was like 30 bux. It would have cost more to have one bent. The I used a 3" elbow for the extension. The tubing on the cross pipe is smaller but not by much. I don't think it's 2.5"....more like 2.75 or something like that. At the end of the elbow is a giant (4x9 I think?) K&N filter that I ordered locally.
Of course if you're talking about moving wires I assume you're making a shortie, but anyway, this is how I did mine.

If your gonna make it custom, go thru were the battery sits, and relocate the battery to the trunk. The shorter intake piping will produce more power.

I have an injen intake that sits exactly like that picture, and I've run it tons of times in the rain. I still have my fender liners in though, so that protects it a lot.

...and chimp is right. A shortie intake would be better all around. I doubt the power difference would be noticeable, but you'd probably notice the quicker throttle response for sure.
