Thanks guys ^^

So after 3 years I am finally allowed to start drifting again!

So I ended up saying fuck it with this chassis and took it to the local track and went totally aintcare, HOONIGAN, driftmissile on it and totally fucked it up over the past 2 weeks.

Just kidding

Borrowed my buddies R32 4 Door haha

was doing pretty good for being out of the game for 3 years until this happened.

Went a little too hot into the "sweeper" and went offroad until it high centered. Luckily no damage from the incident though.

So I bought these tires off the Auctions for 2,000Yen each, but shipping was 2,000 Yen per tire. So 8,000Yen for 2 brand new tires. Not bad.

380 Tread wear.

After 20-30 laps on the course these tires still have 70% life left with practically no chunking pretty impressed.

Domo guys. Sadly though its probably not gonna be painted til it get to the states :/

Been trying to be good lately and keeping off the auctions but came across some R33 Brembo brakes for the GTR for cheap :/ good and bad. 4 door will get the GTRs old brakes
So yey upgrades lol

But also stumbled across a Tomei BMC stopper at up garage for 1,500¥. Yoink lol

Needs cleaning though.

Busy day today too bad its no progress on the car. :/

11:00 went to a car a show to make everyone else look better by comparison.

(To answer anyones question on the green car, Its a 1973 Nissan Gloria with an L20)

2:00 Then met up with some Japanese friends to hang and go on a Touge run.

Car handled surprisingly well, especially with worn out 235's up front.

Did all that until about 6:00 and then hung out at AutoBacs

Nice build, love the 4 door r32. Would love to build one, would you able to find out any info on that V35 front bumper? Looks like the Top Secret one, I'd like to get one for my sedan.

Thanks, Nah I know nothing about those chassis's and not really friends with that guy.

Domo, Not a fan of Misawa, It has some nice views but too country and far away for all the cool stuff of Japan. Okinawa Spoiled me on having everything crammed on that island.

So I suspected for a bit that there was something up with my Fuel tank cuz I was getting shitty gas mileage and whenever I filled up I would never hear the tank depressurize when I removed the cap. When I went on that touge run I had a strong smell of gas in the cabin. It was very strong in the trunk so was pretty sure the PO fucked up the tank seal.

and I was correct. Its common that when you spill fuel on the Oring that it will expand and not seat in the groove correctly.

Old Seal

New seal

and of course when I pulled the sender out I get this kinda fuckery, honestly not surprised by this.

PO installed a GTR fuel pump and this is how he mounted it.

Zip Ties.... Plus it was a pain in the ass to remove with out breaking something cuz the sender and fuel sock were 180* apart from each other

Should have seen that coming.

Re-clocked the fuel sock so I can install and removed easier. Did not have any on hand parts to better remedy the situation, and the lower vibration mount was cut in half so I adjusted the feed pipe and used a worm gear clamp and wedged the rubber in between the pump and holder until I can get my hands on that GTR (Still waiting on the seller) and just swap in the GTR fuel tank.

So in the mean time this will suffice

Finally ordered a timing kit and able to get it done.

Fucking hate not having a garage. I had to knock this out in 3 hours at out Auto Hobby Shop.... If I had 4 Id be alright. Didnt get to take any pics cuz I had to hurry up and get this done.

Pulling the starter took a min cuz I used my flywheel lock tool so I could break the crank bolt and torque it. Def made that shit much easier.

Didnt get to finish it so I had to push it outside and finish installing the belts and radiator in the dark...

But hey its done.

Good thing I did too cuz the idler pulleys were staring to develop play.

Winter is coming and I wont be around for a few months So i took the kit off so the wife can drive it without worry of something happening with the kit and not being able to fix it or whatever.

So now its back to its ugly self.

But I was able to install the GTR's hood on it and shave off about 20lbs of that stock hood lol

Also was able to get a hook up from a buddy on a GTR Grill to fill the void

Also rebuilt some rear calipers and installed them with the Nismo Lines.

I got some front caliper hardlines in route from Australia since for some reason I cannot find any here in Japan. So hopefully they get here soon so I can install them.

Love saving money but most importantly keeping quality and reliability.
Rebuilt my BMC for the 4 Door for less than 10,000¥ using OEM parts. If I were to buy a New unit it would cost about 30,000¥.
It's nice to know how to do this stuff.
Can't imagine how much money I would spend to buy new stuff or pay a shop to do this stuff for me.

Luckily I did this when I did cuz it turned out the OG one was leaking, half the fluid was gone when I came to replace it.

Had to makeshift a bench bleeder system from some Vac lines and Etape. Worked pretty good.

annndddd Done...

Scored another Tomei Short shifter, very excited. Been looking for another after I bought the 4 door, but even in the past 3 years I've never seen another until now.

Before finding this I was gonna buy a Nismo.

While im out of the country im lucky I can still buy parts lol

Picked up another ARC box, missing the filter hold down bracket but I can make one of those.

And some Tomei Manifolds for $135, one of them is cracked but I got a buddy who is a bad ass welder that can weld them up for me.

Very impressed with this thread. The new carpet and kit have been my favorite parts.

I like the way when you detect a problem you can pin point it so fast.

Btw, contact tomei and they should send you a new manifold, my friend did that with his SR manifold, though this was in the states.

pm coming your way..

Got to open up all my parts that Ive been ordering for the past 6 months. It was like Christmas. Forgot most of that parts I ordered so most of it was a surprise.

I didnt open everything up completely since it'll be packed up soon.

OEM Goodies. Misc GTR specific drivetrain seals, dash vents, HVAC actuators, and front axle CV boots.

Got the BN Kit back on, Still looks hideous...

Had plans on getting the car painted before leaving but not sure if ill have the funds.
Wanted to get it painted R35 A54 Red.

Need to go talk to my body guy and see what we can work out.

Also Installed the Tomei Short shifter.
When I got it the the boot was swollen and didnt fit. Lucklily had a BNIB shift boot that fit it perfectly.

Lol yeah wanted to stock up on spare parts since 90% of the parts are R32 specific and parts not readily available just yet. Yeah just sadly I don't have enough room for them all lol, really miss my AE86.

NICE! I can't wait to see what you do with this! Still "red or dead" colour choice?

Hopefully awesome things, just depends on money since I get paid way less now that I'm back in the states.

Still planning on painting it red though.
