x2 on what this guy says, im 6 feet and fit in my buddies c5 z06 with PLENTY of room to spare, his has 70k on it and looks like new in and out....

its also a lot faster than our friends 06 STI and gets better mileage.

and its rear wheel drive, this is zilvia for fucks-sake, not some namby pamby awd understeering loving forum

all that being said, get whatever you want, if you need something more practical that can fit more than 2 people get an STI if you dont need something practical and youre buying something just for how it drives get either a modded base C5 or a C5 z06

It's a nearly 50/50 distributed car. Super light weight. Handles like nothing I've ever been in (outside of a couple rear engine cars I've driven) The LS engine is, in fact, my opinion for the best engine produced no matter what you plan on doing.

You get around 28mpg, yet still have plenty of power (345hp for c5's depending on year and of course 405hp for the Z) The t56 6 speed is the way to go if you like rowing gears.

The interior is awesome in my opinion. Very comfortable.

As far as durability goes, I don't know why I even have to explain it. If you take care of it, it will take care of you. The LS engines just don't stop, period. And the rest of the corvette is equally well built.

BTW, this is coming from an Subie lover who is currently helping out a friend who is interested in buying a brand new STI. Like I said though, they are in two different leagues.

In all honestly I think driving a wrx will be funner. the AWD is just a blast by itself.. I loved my eclipse GSX.. and seriously would trade my 240 for one with equal mods in a heart beat.. because the awd is just awesome

I have no idea.. how longs it takes to get to top speed.. but 16 cylinders and 4 turbos is just awesome by itself.. regardless of the fact you will drain the entire tank in like 10 minutes at top speed

I'm sure the zr1 beats it in acceleration, I mean the damn bugatti is freaking 16 cylinder heavy ass yacht, but top speed? probly not.

I have never really seen a ZR1 perform.. so I don't have the slightest clue.

You are correct it is definitely faster top side, but no one outside of a closed interstate will ever get it up to those speeds. You need to check out the zr1 just because you're a car guy and need to know. It's a freak..

Op 15.5 k for that sti is a bit too much its oky. my brother got his 04 sti for 10.5k with 98k and a good amount of mods and a tune putting down 300whp.
as far as peopke say about the wrx and sti there so different. the reason why he got the sti was because his wrx was wrecked due to a hit and run, hes been a long time member on nasioc as well there a cool group of people.

I think actually, the Tesla roadster can keep up with the ZR1 in 0-60

I've never gotten to drive a car or even been in a car with more than around 400hp.. hah so I don't even know the feeling of sub 4 second 0-60

electric motors make huge amount of torque from 0 rpm, the tesla would be far behind a zr1 by 100mph, not to mention the zr1 is traction limited to a 3.4 0-60mph time

my 71 monte ran 10.79 in the 1/4 with a 1.37 60 ft. time

there is nothing better than trans brake nitrous launches hahahaha
