Mint pair of recaro speed model s seats - $1700

As much as its going to pain me to do this, it's time to put these up for sale. I got these off a guy who had them in his Porsche 911, he rarely raced it and these just sat for about 6 months in his temperature controlled storage unit here in FL. I came along about 2 weeks ago and picked them up.

I was going to keep these and run them with my stock s14 rails (with slight fabrication to the side and floor mount, nothing crazy), but I'm not gonna get around to it. Engine swap comes first, so I'll have to sell a nicer part of my build.

--So the item(s)---

I've got a pair of REAL Recaro Speed Model S seats, made in Germany.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Now before you all get up in arms about -"THOSE AREN'T REAL! THEY AREN'T MADE IN GERMANY! THEY'RE ONLY MADE IN ITALY! YOUR SHIT IS FAKE!" - I did the research for you, so read up)

In 1963, Porsche acquired the car body factory. What remained was renamed to Recaro GmbH & Co, changing its focus to high-end seats. The company began producing both OEM seats for Porsche and a separate line of aftermarket seats. In 1969, the Reutter family sold their ownership to three companies, Keiper, Huber & Wagner and Metzeler, due to economic problems. In 1983, Keiper purchased all shares in Recaro and established Keiper Recaro GmbH & Co in Kirchheim (Teck) near Esslingen am Neckar.

Recaro changed their name in 1990. In their home country of Germany, the name was to change to RECARO GmbH & Co. KG. Operations expanded as they established Recaro North America Inc at Oakland, Michigan, Recaro UK Ltd in Birmingham, Recaro South East Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Recaro Japan Co Ltd in Kyoto, and Recaro France in La Rochelle.

(ALL THAT RIPPED FROM WIKI^^^) - (Your probably gonna say, "Well anyone can write on wiki?!") -(My response is "ok, here's an article from the Wall Street Journal from 2010 talking their next merger with Johnson Controls for aircraft seating.

Link here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001...51970874609378

If you aren't subscribed to the Wall Street Journal here's an article from automotive news backing it.

Link here: http://www.autonews.com/article/2010...-keiper-recaro

On their actual Recaro website KEIPER is acknowledged in there joint efforts in 1998.

With all that said - back to the description.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The two seats have a full steel tubular frame, the key thing here is safety, I personally don't play around with rep stuff in very high horsepower cars. Recaro name stitching in red, fully black with a soft kinda grippy fabric. The sponge is actually very well taken care of no rips anywhere.

ALL the Recaro stickers and tags are in the pictures. It's the only reclinable Recaro seat made with bottom seat hole for a 5-6 point harness. They are very soft, very comfortable and sit great.

They DO NOT come with rails or seat mount brackets. The two push tabs on the backs of the seats allow the seat to recline down forward to let someone in the back of the car (like traditional OEM s14 seats)

They recline fine, again no rips or cuts (in the back of both seats there is a small patch uncovered, this is from the factory, both are same, just happens to be where the fabric is pulled and seated and finished.

One seat is a 10/10 MINT clean AF (passenger). The other is a 9.5/10 (driver) due to the small piece of fabric loose by where the seat belt harness comes through (this was from wear and tear when the past owner raced them in his Porsche). There is a small impression in the sponge by the same loose fabric piece on the driver seat. These are small things YOU or an upholstery person can fix very very easily, a little bit of pulling and fabric glue and your fine 100%.

Here's the actual Recaro website if you wanna check it out yourself.

Link here: https://www.recaro-automotive.com/us...cts/speed.html

There are Not FIA certified, but since they are made in Germany they are TUV ( Technischer Überwachungsverein, English: Technical Inspection Association) certified = German Road car standards. Similar to DOT, but with much more strict standards.

The weight of each seat 31lbs

Max Height 32.5 inches

Max Seat Cushion Depth 19.7 inches

Max Seat Cushion Width 21 inches

Here a link for those who don't like to read: (THIS IS WHAT YOUR BUYING)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pobNP8_9kGs

I'm 6'0, 195. I am very comfortable in the seats, its kinda tight around the bottom bolsters but I just have a big ass. My plans were to get them fully re-upholstered in navy blue Alcantara with white stitching as well as the RECARO to match the color of the car later on. While they were getting re-upholstered I was gonna have the guy or girl (we ain't gender discriminating out here) move the bottom bolsters 2 inches outward so it would be a bit more comfortable for long drives.

Now I paid full price from the guy for these since these are in insanely good condition.

Retail these run just about 1K each. I would like to get 1300 for them price was set at 1700 before. The pictures speak for themselves.

The seats are in no rush the sell, just figured I'd put this up in case someone wants them. They will be wrapped in plastic wrap and bubble wrap, just like in the first picture and put away in my temperature controlled storage unit until a serious buyer comes along and wants to see them.

IF YOUR A SUPER BALLER AND WANT THESE SHIPPED. I HAVE NO PROBLEM SHIPPING IT, BUT YOUR GONNA PAY, KEEP THAT IN MIND.

If these don't sell, then hell I'll save up for the swap slowly and run them myself later on.

As always, ask as many questions as you'd like, ALL the pictures possible are up there posted. Shop and your own risk and expense.

Sorry bud, trying to sell together. Lol you asked the one question that I didn't already give in the description. Lol. I'll change that. Only reason being is because if they don't sell, I want the pair to slap in the car. Not just one seat.

Correct these are more for daily driving why the padding is so thick and the belt hole for the harness on the bottom is super cool generally on the porsche/Recaro seats. GLWS Post these on rennlist.com should sell for more than you are asking!
