S14 fuel pump problem
I just swapped a s13 blacktop sr into my s14.. Im using a wiring specialties pro wiring harness also. I have 12v going to the black and red wire and 0 to the black and pink. Im not sure if its a ground im missing or what the problem is honestly. I know its not the fuse, and doubt its the relay. Any ideas? So far I grounded the motor to the chassis, a ground cable off the harness to my intake, and have a nice ground in the trunk, is there any more grounds im missing?

You didn't specify where you measured the voltage so that's not very helpful. I don't know of any Black/Red wires in the fuel system.
Do you understand fuel pump operation? Key ON power is sent to the fuel pump relay. The ECU will ground the fuel pump relay (which powers the fuel pump) for the first five seconds of key ON. If engine rotation is not detected (via the camshaft position signal) within 5 seconds, the ECU will open the ground to keep the fuel pump from operating again until ECU power is cycled. TLDR; the fuel pump runs for a maximum of 5 seconds if the engine isn't cranking/running. Is the ECU connected and functioning? Is the M63/F3 chassis plug connected? |
