Anyone know of a loud exhaust that adds the most horsepower for a 97' 240SX?
My freind just got a Greddy Exhaust for his 92' Integra and it really isnt loud at all. And I want a really loud exhaust for my 240. ^^; -whacked |

I want a loud exhaust because I like waking my neighbors up at 2am when I come home. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Also...How much is a skyline rear end conversion for a 97' 240sx and where can I find one..? |

I know...I just dont like them red neck 69' Camaros gruntin' at me at stop lights. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> I am just used to loud exhaust because I used to have a 93' civic hb. Sold it though, they are pretty trendy. No one has a 240sx in Sacramento so thats what I am going to get next.

The bigger the piping of the exhaust, the louder it will be, and it will produce a lot of power at high end, but it'll kill you at low end. This is what turbo cars use, for street anyway. I don't know how loud it is, but the Apex'i GT Spec exhaust has 3.5 inch piping, or more, which is HUGE, you'll probably be humming deep bass louder than your stereo/subs and popping backpressure like popcorn when you decelerate.
Good Luck |

greddy exuhast are pretty quiet.... DTM styles are very high bass, those r fairly loud... also 5 zigen or N1 is pretty loud... if u want it louder... do a custom catback with less bends, no resinators so it is straight back. also buy a header, it would be louder also

Just watched a vid of GT Spec Exhaust in action...It is on a Supra though so it doesnt give me much justice. Still, at idle it had a deep, lovely, gives chills up your spine rumble.
URL for the Vid: <a href="http://www.highboost.com/GT%20Spec%20Supra%20Exhaust.mpg (Edited" target="_blank">http://www.highboost.com/GT%20Spec%20Supra%20Exhaust.mpg (Edited</a> by Whacked at 12:34 pm on Sep. 15, 2001) |

Exhaust helps, and a KA engine wont wake up a dog <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
And I am not getting a silvia engine because it wont pass smog here and it's a waste of cash. -whacked |

whacked, listen up. my s13 is loud as ####. this is what u do, u get headers, hi-flow cat, and then straight cat-back with at least 2 3/4 inch size, and the best part last. An Arospeed Twin Tube DTM Muffler. an intake helps too =). i got my muffler from autoall.com. its like $150 with no shipping. its the only place i've seen it.

I know you guys have commenting on not liking them. But I have an aluminum flowmaster w/ dual exhaust tip. It's loud, their hear that from 5 blocks away. My K&N cone filter helps too.
