I am in the process of a 96 s14 kouki conversion and decided to go with the oem jdm front bumper. I was wondering what everyone else was doing about the front fender liner. I am extremely picky and wanted the oem look and keep dirt out. Is there a way to make any kind of liner fit?? I wonder if a jdm front fender liner would fit better??

Is the car lowered, if so your gonna have to remove them anyway lol... i was pick once to, but then i got a 240sx, cant be to picky nemore lol...

I've seen friends cut the very top section of the fender liner for tire clearance on extremely lowered cars.

Still rubs on full lock, but it keeps dirt out.

I don't really care, so removed mine.

on the s14 the rear liners are the same, but the front are different and the jdm kouki seem to be much longer on the front than the usdm.

chances are they're pretty close or exactly the same. If they aren't, I'm sure you can just roll without them for a minute until you source a pair. Get the bumper and find out. Its not like you're going to stop everything b/c the liner isn't prefect.

i'm sortof going through the same turmoil, i'm mainly concerned with when it rains.

i'm thinking of making my own sheilds out of some cheap sheet aluminum or just some random fender liners from something else beacuse i will be cutting it anyway.

my goal is to basically put the fender liner in places to block dirt/rain from getting into the engine bay and from getting shot up behind the fender.

so it really is no longer fender liner, but shielding for lack of a better term.

If your liner is too short.....

You could always go get another pair at the Junk Yard.
Modify your old one to fit, and use the JY one to fill in the gaps.
The where they over lay, put holes in them that line up and use zip ties to stitch them together.
then cut the ziptie tails.
If you do the zip ties from the inside, and place the holes 1" apart from the zipties, it should come out really clean and solid.

The Zenki and Kouki front portion is different for US cars anyway, so I use the Kouki liners when using a JDM front bumper, several holes line up fine, one on each side does not. I've done three or four cars like that without issue.

I do also cut the top section on a lowered car, mine is like that, and it looks fine. You can't tell it's missing unless you lay under the car and look up, which you can't do anyway.

so i would be fine using the usdm kouki liners, i can live with one hole not matching up
