I will be doing a solid cali legal build soon too. I can't wait to see what you do with that one. Can you tell me about your interior though? Where did the door trim come from? Also the climate control module. Keep up the good work.

Did you just reupholster the door? Looks good enough to be an aftermarket part.

Can you post more on the powder coating oven?

What are you planning on using for a heating element and sealing it? Surely rivets cant be enough?

Thanks

havent been productive lately with the build but guess you could say i got some work done!

checked the head mating surface for flatness, its good no warpage. thinnest feeler gauge i had was .0012" and used starrett 380-24 straight edge.

looks like i need to replace all the exhaust guides. checked valve deflection using dial indicator and they average around .015" oe limit is .008". intake side are around .005" so their good.

was going to make a DIY valve spring compressor but found this on amazon for a decent price made by neiko. its a universal and already tried it out and its works good.

Looking like a great build for sure.

I just skimmed through, but only saw the picture of the block back from machining. Did you have them deck the front timing covers when they did the block? Like take an equal thickness off of all parts. If not, you'll have a leak there where they meet. Just wanted to check before you get it all back together.

Enthalpy is about as respected as it gets in terms of rom tunes. I'd use one without hesitation.

been a while since i updated my build thread. Was out of the country for a month and when i came back, decided to change a few things on my setup.

this what the engine looked before i left the country...

came back and decided to take it all apart because im picky like that lol

spent a few hundred dollars on precision measuring tools

the engine above, i decided im going to run all stock except wiseco piston w/stock rods. learn how to use MS on it and use it for smog purpose.

heres my future plan for my other built KA
wiseco .020
eagle rods
arp main and headstuds
holset hx40
fullrace twin scroll mani
clevite bearings
cosworth hg
bc 264
jwt adj. cam gears
bc std intake and exhaust valves
bc valve guides
supertech valve guide seals
supertech dual valve springs
z32 tranny
ID1000cc
e85
mspnp2

starting to collect parts for the nxt build already....

got my hx40 and been talking to timsturbo about t3 divided housing and billet comp wheel.

came with a t4 divided housing and fullrace ka mani uses t3 divided so ill need a different turbine housing.

has 8blade comp wheel
