what to do with left over shell? i called pick your part but...
it needs to have motor and transmision.
I called each place in the penny saver and since it doesnt have motor/ transmission they want to charge me 50bux to take it away. I saw a thread that s13boosts made but i couldn't find it anymore. So any ideas on how i can get rid of this shell without having to pay for someone to take it. Let me know by pm of a place that you know of cause i need it gone by tomorrow or sunday |

Welcome back
I don't know what's up with your pick your part, but the pick n pulls up here were going to take my shell w/o engine/tranny. Look through the phone book or news paper classifieds for people who want them. My dad was driving around town one day and passed a truck that said on the said that they'll take cars/shells w/o paperwork. The pick n pull wouldn't take mine because I didn't have the title, but other guys did. |

you get a sawzaw and cut it up and put it in random dumpsters for a few weeks. If you can find a metal scrap yard they might take it for free if you have cut it up a bit.

These guys would have taken it even if you had pissed all over it. You're in Socal though, so even if I had their number it wouldn't do much good for you. Just try looking through classifieds of different newspapers, like the ones outside grocery stores.

Cutting it up into pieces is easy if it's a bare shell(zero interior, no motor/tranny, no suspension, no subframe...nada).
Sawzall works wonders. About an hour and it'll be in several pieces. |

I agree...
The beauty of the sawzall is that you can cut on it like a damned savage and still get the same outcome, as it will weigh no less when you're done hacking on it. Hell, have some fun cutting it up and scrapping the metal yourself.

Johnny's right plus that allows you to save the quarter windows without pulling them out of the metal. Then if your willing to meet me somewhere in the San Garbriel valley and the rubber is as clean as you claim I would give you$30 for them. Perris is way to far from LA though for me to drive to pay a glass place to pull a set of quarter windows and pay for them as well.

I'll see if I can find the number for the place that picked up a shell from us. Had no doors, no hatch, no engine, no fenders, pretty much nothing but a shell and trash. Didn't charge us, but didn't pay us either.

Hypothetically speaking, I suppose you could always take the VINs off, and just dump it in one of the many empty dirt lots in your area.
Hypothetically speaking... I would NEVER EVER suggest doing something so illegal. |

I've gotten rid of two crashed cars
one, an S13, I parted out and then had a guy that come drag it away for the scrap metal the second, S14, I cut up with a sawzall and took to the recycler got like $50 for the metal make sure you keep the paperwork though you'll need it to report to DMV to get it off your name |

When my kat popped and threw a rod I disassembled everything and salvaged what I could. Then I tossed the block and crank into the trash can. The mechanical arm on the garbage truck struggled to get that bitch up then I heard BAM!.....BAM! as both hit the bottom of the truck container. I lol'd. Did the same thing with my auto trans too.
