wondering if you guys can give any assistance.. .well i have a ka24de and was running fine for about 3 months until yesterday when the ac belt suddenly snapped. Before this about a week before, i would here a loud ticking noise everytime i would turn the ac on. seems to be coming from the compressor. i changed the belt last night and it later started to squeal the next day and then snapped. could it be that my ac compressor got mis-aligned?

Sounds like the pulley may have seized. With the belt off, see if you can turn the tension pulley or the compressor pulley. If neither turns, that's your problem and it's burning up your belts.
