Trimming Springs?

I recently got the Eibach Sportline springs which dropped the car about two inches. I was thinking that with my new 18's, the two inches would be fine, but its not. I'd like to go another inch lower, to get rid of the wheel gap. Now, my question is this, does anyone know how much of the spring I should cut to get that inch? I wouldn't think that cutting off a inch in height would equate to an inch with the load of the car on it, it seems like it would lower it further than I would want. Anyone have any ideas, or actually tried this before?

DONT CUT PROGRESSIVE SPRINGS it is dangerous and it ruins the spring. that spring was designed to be used at that height if you want it lower get coilovers or different springs but never cut the coils on a progressivly wound spring

you could also load you car down with fat bitches that will drop it an inch or two
