Colorado 240sx Meet - 08/23/03
Taken off COSR.com. Not all the info is there yet, but with more people it should get planned out better.

I'll see if I can make it.
Not to hi-jack the thread, but the following weekend is the Denver Grand Prix. Anyone interested in going or meeting up beforehand? I live about 10 blocks away.

Damn, these guys are being pretty secretive about this meet, huh? Anyway, I guess I'll be there if they think I'm cool enough or whatever. See you guys in the springs.

haha, didn't mean to make it so secretive. It's because I wasn't sure if we were going to have the BBQ at my house and I didn't want to give out my address in a public forum. But I think I found a good picnic ground at Palmer Park. So I will be sending out the directions soon.
Or do you guys think I should just post it on the forums? Let me know. |

I've been seeing signs and just checked the map. I have no idea how bad security will be or if they'll completely close off that side of town or just the pits and grandstands. Anyone been before?
General tickets didn't seem too bad and would be fine with me if there isn't a parking garage or something we could park on to watch it from. I think it would make a cool backdrop for a small meet and since Road America isn't an hour or two away for me anymore like it was when I lived in Madison and Chicago this looks like my best racing fix for the summer. www.denvergrandprix.com

Ok, here's the location and direction for 08/23. Saturday
I figured I'll just post it. Location: Palmer Park picnic ground. Time: 11:00 am Direction from Denver using I25. 1: Take the I-25-BL S/ NEVADA AVE exit- exit number 148A- on the left. 0.39 miles 2: Merge onto N NEVADA AVE/ I-25 BR/ US-87. 1.03 miles 3: Turn LEFT onto AUSTIN BLUFFS PKWY. 2.11 miles (There is a car wash on South/East corner) 4: Turn RIGHT onto N UNION BLVD. 1.28 miles (There is a medical building on South/West corner) 5: Turn LEFT onto N CIRCLE DR. 0.30 miles (There are two medical buildings on the North/East and South East corners. It is called Fillmore heading west) 6: Turn LEFT onto PASEO RD. (This is a very small street. First street after you make the left on Circle. I will post a "240SX/Nissan meet" sign with arrows from here. 7: Head straight for about 1/2 miles and you will enter palmer park. Make a right onto an anonymous dirt road. (not bumpy) I will have signs up here as well. 8: keep on driving till dead end. The drive from Denver will take at least 45 min going 80mph. Let me know if you have any questions! |

I'm gonna try, it'll be worth it. Now if I can only get the parts I need.... lol
I just realized that there are a hell of a lot of races and car stuff going on these next two weeks. You've got D1 in Cali, the Denver Grand Prix (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band....HELL YEAH!!!)and this meet in the Springs. Wow, I wonder what else is going on? If my 240sx is done (SR swap) in time, and legal, i will definately be up for a meet/cruise.
By the way...about the Grand Prix of Denver. I work for Centrix Financial (title sponser of the Denver Grand Prix) and i can get hook ups for tickets. Email me at [email protected] and i will see what kind of deals i can get on tickets. |

Oh yeah, looks like COSR is for sale I knew that was gonna happen after that last incident. Damn punk *** hacker. Oh well, all good things must come to an end sometime I guess! |

a few times. basically to harass some of the honda people. this guy had a really nice EG6 that ricers were hassling him about cause it wasn't "JDM" enough or it didn't have dubs or ICE or "NAWZZ", and one to ask WTF is up with people who buy last gen preludes.
the only thing good about it really was that i got to hook up with some colorado nissan people. we just need to start a CO 240SX club with BBS. |

Alex, '96 pearl white base zenki, couple blemishes and scratches here and there. Stock engine, mild suspension stuff. I hope I get my sway bars on before the mountain run, can't wait to test them out. Oh, I need to get some new front pads too so I don't rear end anybody.
Name tags are a good idea, hopefully we can all just figure it out ourselves though. |
