Please don't do the vortex generators. You'll lose all the sleekness you have going right now with nice, fluent lines.

yeah, if i do them, its going to be with less, and they're not going to just be flat pieces. i just did that to sort of give me an idea of the over all look. still undecided on them

Made my head light bucket templates, and cut out the sheet metal for them today... Couldn't get my hands on a 110 welder today before it started to rain, so we didn't get them finished yet. Didn't really take any pictures since we were trying to knock it out, and beat the rain.
(for some reason wal-mart only had hot pink card stock, found that odd)

Nearly finished one of my headlights today. I actually remembered to take a few pictures for the build thread too! lol.

Rough idea of what it'll look like when it's finished.... Still have a few more things to do before it's done though.

Nearly everything is mounted... Still need to attach the side skirt and rear bumper to the over fenders where they meet, and still have to figure out a better way to mount my tail light cover other than double sided tape. Already wanting to change up the side skirts some, and I'm not feeling the front bumper anymore at all. Going to get a version select V2 when the opportunity arises. In the mean time, time to start prepping the car for paint!

This is the bumper i'm going to end up going with. My main focus is getting the car running again though now. and maybe make it all one color.

Thanks, it still has a long ways to go though. I'm not building it to be a show car, but I still want it to look somewhat good.

Decided to ditch the green and go battleship gray for now.. I'm sure I'll end up re-painting it some other color shortly after it's running again, but this will do for now. the only pieces I had prepped were my roof wing, and tail light cover... Going to prep my hood for paint this afternoon and spray it tomorrow after work.

Painted my hood this evening. It got darker quicker than I intended it to, luckily I finished before it was too dark to paint. However, it was too dark to really take a good picture.

Made a little progress on the car sunday.

Welded, ground, and filled the holes from the stock wing, and painted a few more pieces.

Primer

end result along with a couple more pieces I painted.. I may go back and redo my hatch. theres a couple streaks in it. hopefully I can sand them out, if not I'll tape it all up and redo it.

Thanks! For the base, it's just a cheap gray I found at lowes. Still have to clear over everything when it's all said and done.

Thank you, it's been a long long build, but it's slowly starting to take shape!

Painted my rear bumper today. and played around with ideas where to mount my diff cooler. I think I figured out where I want to put it.

Still have to zip tie my bumper and side skirts to my over fenders.

Decided the location of my diff cooler, now I have to box my bumper support so there is a nice cubbyhole for the cooler to sit inside, then have to build ducting up to it. and get the lines made and pump wired up and mounted as well.

(its just shoved in there in the pic to get an idea of the size and location of the cooler)

Yeah, i'm kind of on the fence with them.
more pictures.

the only reason i'm debating them is because of the lip on the tail light cover. it kind of ties in to me

Yeah, I'm kind of on the fence with them. I'm wanting to do splitters and canards too. And i'm going to build a diffuser for it as well, so it may tie in better

weeee picked up some bearings for the beater 5.3 i'm going to throw together to get the car back up and running again. In the mean time, It's time to do it big on the ls1.

Still debating if I really want to get the block honed, and re-ring it as well, or if i'm just going to get the crank polished and call it a day, and start building this turd.

Cleaned up some parts today. My fingertips are pretty much raw now. Also fixed the threads where my intake manifold bolts down on my heads.

A buddy of mine and myself decided to go in half on building a blast cabinet to use for a sodium bicarbonate blaster. Only took about an hour total to build, and was pretty cheap to make over all. I can't wait to use this thing tomorrow! It's not complete in the picture, still need to attach long gloves to the arm holes, filter the intake port, and hook up the shop-vac to the exhaust port, then put the lid on it, and seal the lid.
