Seeing as a SR20 is a superior motor to a RB25 looks like it a good choice to for you to learn to slide into a curb, maybe then you'll be able to save up your allowance to do a SR swap on a new chassis. Good luck kid.

Unless you have another car, and an inexpensive/stable place to store the 240sx don't do it. If you (parents) don't have the pockets to support you owning two cars don't do it.
Save your money go to college get a GOOD degree (or apprentice in a trade), which leads to a good paying job, then play around with cars. Otherwise the car is going to be broken and you are going to be too broke to fix it. And/or your life is going to drastically change(knocking someone up) and you won't have time for this hobby. |

First thing first. As a fellow 17 year old S-Chassis owner, get a job. Second, know that these cars are either great or bad. No in between. Specially with a swap that you might not have any knowledge on what has been done to it. If you don't have a job or the knowledge to keep up with the car, don't buy it. Don't make your parents afford you it. They give you more than enough already.
I owned mine since I'm 15 years old cause I could afford it. I worked for it and earned a good bit of it (Got help paying for it) |

I'm also 17, got a sr20, I sold my VW bus for $6500, bought a s13.4 with bolt in upgraded sr, turbo blew I've put 3k into it already! NOT SPONSORED BY MOMMY AND DADDY!!!!!!! So no one say shit about that to me! Biggest pet pevv! Anyways it's making around 400 whp! I love it and sliding! I went from 67hp to 400! I've never thought it was to much power, actually always wanted more. Don't be a pussy and a show off that you have an rb25.

I got my s14 when I was 18 I was a reckless little shit with the KA if I would have had and RB than maybe my car would be wrecked right now. I quickly saw how expensive it is to fix a car especially if you don't have the knowledge or tools like myself and pay a mechanic. Save your money and buy a clean unmolested car and drive it for a bit while you save some money then start upgrading what you think is necessary. That's my best advice plus when you buy a car with an engine swap you never know if it was done properly or they took shortcuts like so many s chassis owners out there. Please just don't wreck or make another drift slut 240 we have too many of those.

you're 17...you live at home with mommy and daddy...you're sponsored by mommy and daddy.
i'm saying that because if you think you can afford someone else's problem(swapped car) right now, doesn't mean you can afford it once you get out on your own. prepare yourself with owning another car, and possibly being able to store that thing at mommy's house when it fucks up. Get an education, make good money, buy a house, then begin your hobby. This hobby can very easily drain you of all your funds. True story.
