Just reading a other website and I came across a pic of the "new" skyline.
Here is link: http://www.geocities.com/gtmash/frames.html (have to goto the main site then click on the pic to view it, coo geocites dont let you host pics anymore) I think it is ugly <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> -whacked (Edited by Whacked at 11:50 pm on Sep. 19, 2001) |

I agree completely with you Whacked! I'm sure the GTR will be one bad ass looking car though! Hopefully god, and nissan has it in them to send here to the states!

As most of you all know Nissan America smoke some of serious drugs.... So dont worry, thats not the actual Skyline like in Japan, its just what us Americans get. Why Nissan America is calling that POS family car a Skyline.... I must be the crack they smoke.
If and when we get a actual "Japanese Skyline" in the US it will be dubbed the GTR. |

It's not near as sexy as the R-34 Skyline...but, I dunno...it might grow on me...especially if we get a beefier GTR version like Mark mentioned. I can look past the styling if it's got balls.:)

Why bother marketing nice sports cars in america if you don't offer the nice models that make them sports cars???
The Mits Lancer is just a replacement for the Mits Mirage, not the turbo charged all wheel drive beast that earned it its fame. Now we get a watered down family sedan that's called a Skyline! |

well, the watered down family sedan that's called the skyline here, is also the skyline in japan.
the reason that japanese car companies dont offers as many sports cars anymore is cause everyone started buying trucks in the early-mid 90s. the 300zx, supra, rx7, lotus elan, viper, etc. sold only a few thousand cars combined around 1995. you can't make profits with those numbers. so if you want sports cars back, make sure you don't buy a truck for your mid-life crisis |
