Dropping 350z Ring and pinion into R200 s14 diff
I know we've done this with a Q45 ring and pinion dropping it into the r200 from a S chassis car.
However has anyone tried the Ring and pinion from a 350z/g35 chassis? the 350z diff is a short nose diff similar to the 240sx and not like the long nose out of a 280zx. Has anyone tried this? thanks |

350z diff
DId you ever come up with anything on this? I am in the middle of my S14 VQ swap and would really like to use the 350z diff or at least the ring & pinion & LSD. Did you determine if any of it will fit?

It's usually best to use the original R200 case that came with the ring/pinion that you want. The reason is that although the ring gear may be 200mm, the taller ratios, like 3.3, 3.1, etc., have bigger ring gears.
So it's best to take the 350Z case and install your diff into the 350Z case. Then mount the case into the car. You can try and see if the bigger ring gears will fit in the stock S-chassis R200 case, but I'm telling you from experience that it may not fit. |

Is it v8silvia or do you not recall? If it's v8silvia, half the guys on there don't have running cars.
Everything from the ring gear to the propeller shaft, including the case, you use on the donor car, the diff, outputshafts, and diff cover you use from the shell. |

I don't think you can do that, but maverick motorsports is coming out with bushings to fit a g35/350z pumkin into a s14 subframe so you might as well wait and make it easier on yourself.
