93 Coupe; Fuel pump not on.. help!

I've had a few 40's in my day..

VA: 1991 240sx CLEAN Red-Top SR20DET Fully Built Engine, Suspension 400hp+ : Nissan For Sale

and never had this problem before, i'm quite flustered.

So here goes- i had pulled my motor to do a clutch swap. everything went as planned the entire proses.

while the engine was out i decided to eliminate my clutch fan & put a electric fan in its place. so i planned to wire it how i had in the past, wire shoved in with the 15A fuel pump fuse.

but found and decided to use this from autozone-http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Bussmann-ATC-fuse-tap-converts-one-into-two-fusible-circuits-10-Amps-maximum-on-added-circuit/_/N-4ami?aqs=4294816668&counter=1&itemIdentifier=32414 _0_0_

Cranked it up for the first time, she fired right up. (fan was not hooked up, just mounted on the radiator)

after a few min. i cut it off and topped off the coolant and figured id try to get the fan going, so i put two 30A fuses in the "add a circuit", plugged it in to the fuel pump fuse location, attached a wire from the end of it and connected it to one of the fan wires.

started right up, and when i grounded the other fan wire to the engine to see it the fan would come on i blew one of the 30A fuses in the "add a circuit"

so i then replaced the fuel pump relay, fuel pump and installed a 15A fuse in where it belongs. and.... NOTHING!

still nothing, out of ideas. what the hell did i jack up so bad?!

the factory fuel pump relay works off a ground trigger from the ecu

did you try grounding the relay out, and seeing if the pump runs in genearl?

See if the relay is getting the proper 12v on he corrosponding terminals, see if it's getting 12v upon key over, and most importantly, make sure the ground from the ECU to the relay works.

From there, just see if you're getting 12v to the pump
