Today we decided the engine bay needed to be aesthetically finished, we started by taking the Avid motor mounts out and putting in the new Nismo mounts.
After that we started repainting everything that needed it, including the engine bay yeah i painted my wipers I'd say all in all it turned out a ton better! ill throw these up too just for kicks excited that everything is starting to look up! Negotiating to buy some new front seats tomorrow, if i end up getting them ill post them up, but until then you'll all have to wait. last but surely not least, i will be ordering my boost-a-pump on monday

well we ran a little late to the dyno today due to a fuel pump failure (replaced with an 044), and had to spend most of our time re-tuning the FCON for the DLI and the boost a pump. Unfortunatly this lead to not having enough time to do full boost run on the dyno, best run of the day was a 720whp pull at 30psi (not bad considering it was about 40 degrees hotter today than last time it was on the dyno).
I also got a new boost controller, must say i realllllly like it! if you dont know the functions of this controller i would recommend checking it out. some really cool features (about $700 worth of cool features lol) i really like how we decided to mount it too, took a little bit of fab work but i think the outcome is very good! sorry i didnt get more pictures of this happening, i kind of spaced while installing it. anyways we will be going back to the dyno fairly soon so stay tuned!

I agree on the avid mounts - they are just blocks of aluminum with a condom over a bolt going through them. The nismos sit considerably lower than the avids - I just pulled my motor to send to mazworx to get 90mm sleeve action - so meanwhile this other motor (2.0 mahle/eagle) is goin in with nismo mounts...
I like the brace you have on the IC pipe - we had wiggens clamps on the wall in the showroom - so we put those things on my car. Now every kid that walks in wants them on his pipes - THEY SAT COLLECTING DUST FOR A YEAR ON THAT WALL torque dampers dont work good with top mount turbos btw... the bushings inside melt

the ones that look like a shock and bolt to the shock tower - slider2828 recommended it - They're a bandaid for having crappy mounts.
We have similar braces to yours that we have hangin on the wall - i contemplated those when we redid my piping for wiggens clamps - but my coworker that does the aluminum wanted to try the "purple thingys"

bumper has been dropped off for repair and paint at a local place called devious designs, im also going to be taking off my intercooler piping, straps, and possibly a few other parts to get polished/powdercoated soon. the rims are also going to be getting done soon, so the car will hopefully look the part within a month or so, which is very exciting for me because i feel the car doesnt look very good.

ever consider going back to stock aero? i just feel like it would suit your car more since its not a slammed poking drift machine. it would give it more of a sleeper look so when a unsuspecting honda revs next to you can unleash 735 hp of fury lol. but hey its not my car...

this body kit will only be on the car until it gets painted. trust my id rather be stock aero, but the guy before me painted it this the skirts on, so its purple under the skirt. after the car gets shot im re-doing all of the exterior, and i mean ALL of it. i wouldnt even bother fixing the front bumper if I didnt have good reason to. but it will be worth it in the end. then the real fun starts

Dude damn your pockets are ridiculously deep.
Give us a number, how much has this build cost you so far? This is the most legit build I've seen. I'm curious though, why didn't you go RB26? |

im not sure how much i have into this car, but it is way too much haha. And to be honest i would have never chosen to do an RB, if i would have done a motor swap it would have either done a 3.4L 2JZ or a 04 cobra modular V8 (built and turbo'd). but i decided to keep the SR and do some cool things with that.
