Well, I am going to try to get a 97 or 98 240sx. Going to keep the KA engine sense I know the SR20DET will not pass smog here in California. (I had a 93' civic hback w/a B18C-R engine swap w/plenty of mods and I had to give the auto tech $100 under the counter to get it to pass smog ) When reading this keep in mind I am a complete newbie when it comes to Nissans.
Heres what I have been thinking for engine mods so far: AEM Cold Air Intake (Had one on my civic, not sure if they make one for a 240sx, if they dont Ill get an injen) 5Zigen Fireball Exhaust System (Erm...The box looks MAJORLY CORNY dunno if it is good quality. Need info on what exhaust I should get) ACT Street Clutch HKS Ball Bearing GT Turbo (GT3037S, 52T, A/R 0.73, T25 Flange) (once I get the money) HKS Racing Blow-Off Valve Type II HKS Racing Wastegate - 22.8psi (Once I get the money!) HKS Turbo Timer Tanabe Sustec Super-H Springs A'pexi n1 Tower Strut Bar No clue what ECU I should get... And I havent given much thought about Interior Mods...I am all for speed. I know all that stuff is going to cost a pretty penny but I think I could some how get all of it in the next 5 years....*hopefully* Anything I should change? Please flame away. -whacked ps: 1 cosmetic thing that I do want is different rear lights. I dont like Silvia's rear lights because they kinda look like a new pontiac grand prix rear lights. I am hoping to pick up some skyline rear lights...Anyone know where I can get them and how much they cost? |

Ive heard good things about the Apexi N1 Dual for turbo applications it should have adequate piping.
I looked into the 5zigen and read reviews on it, checked pricing etc etc. I am gonna go with the N1 Dual, it seems to have gotten better reviews, and because I like the look of the twin pipes, it retains a more stock appearance which is important to me. Ive got an Injen with CAI and definitly would recommend it. You may want to look into one of the turbo kit setups for the S14, NSport, XS Engineering, and FMax. It might be cheaper that buying each item seperatly. Im gonna be getting the Nsport in a few months, I gotta do exhaust first. Good luck with the car |

Hrrmmmm.......
Your not allowed to have a GT3037 on a KA. I beat everyone to it so its now been banned for all other 240 owners  ehheh You will need some internals and a FMIC, Fuel Management, ECU, ACT discs are good but I dont think it will hold all that power. There is always more too. Have fun If your a power freak as in high HP freak then get the SR and built it for tons of top end. Maybe its worth slipping the smog dude 100$ I know my KA-T wont pass smog. |
