Frustrated

My pops and I have built many cars in our day. its been about 12 years since the last car. Now wer doin an s14 sr20det swap into my s13. Everything was goin well untill he decided that u cant make the a/c work even though I read u can. he s very pissed off at me and thinks this is not gonna be quality,he already thinks the motor I got has 150k on it even though im staying positve and dont believe that. Once the man s mad, thers no goin back. Now im worried about the whole thing and now im more nervous about the money ive spent goin to waste. Ive found one wiring explanation from mestitos.net. does anyone have another example I can compare too? Can any1 shoot me some wisdom thatll make me feel better about this swap and not feel lkie I should just turboed my KA because I know wher it came from and nothing complex about it. I love the idea that my car qill have an SR and its the coolest ride I ve ever built. Please someone give me words that make me feel bettr lol

what the fuck is so complex about a sr20?

if you cant do the wiring send it out to wiringspecialties or have a shop do it for you

yes you can have AC

search homie and stop crying if you're actually 28 you shouldnt give a damn what your pops says

yup yup
it's only cars
if it stops being fun then walk away for a while
refocus and come back when you're ready
+1 on having someone do the wiring if it's stomping you

There are LOTS of wiring instructions available online. Just google it. All you have to do is change 3 plugs and lengthen a couple wires, it doesn't get any easier then that. For the A/C all you need to do is take the car to a good A/C shop. It'll cost you $100-$200 or so for the custom hoses plus freon and the labor to charge it. If the A/C is really freaking you out that much that's the easiest way to do it.

Hope this helps you, alot of good write ups on there, dont let it discourage you, as for the a/c you can use the ka a/c stuff, lines and compressor, message Codyace or google his name and he sells a/c brackets to bolt the ka a/c compressor onto the sr motor, really cool guy , but yeah if you dont feel comfortable doing wiring send it out...

The wiring for the S14 SR into the S13 is kinda tricky, I've seen even some shops mess it up. I would take it to someone who knows what they are doing for the wiring part. Everything else is pretty easy.

I can understand where you are coming from, but this isn't the place to discuss it lol. SR swaps are easy, calm down, do research. Done

Don't let these guys bust your balls ^_^
