My 1999 mitsubishi Galant

Hey guys, I've been lurking on zilvia for quite some time, considering picking up a hatch here pretty soon. Thought I'd throw up a short little one about my daily/track/never ending project car. It's a 99 mitsubishi Galant that's been in my family since it was brand new, it was actually my mom's first new car since we moved to the United States. I started driving it 4 years ago after I parted out my MKIII Supra turbo to pay for part of my college education and I never thought I would ever mod this car. Here's a couple of photos to show what the car looked like, and what it looks like now, and a mod list. I have done all the work on this car myself.

Drivetrain:
Injen short ram/cold air intake depending on the season
GReddy Spectrum Elite exhaust
Magnaflow Hi Flow Cat
91 Octane tune N/A tune.
GReddy oil & radiator caps
Eclipse 5speed swap with Quaife LSD
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
Exedy Clutch
Poly motor mounts
metal shifter bushings, base and underhood

Interior:
Bride Vios III Low max Driver seat with Sparco brackets on stock sliders
JDM 3000GT Momo steering wheel with fully functioning airbag
Socal Autowerks carbon fiber trim pieces including gauge cluster, shifter bezel, radio bezel, door trim, door handle trim.
JDM door pulls
Blox Neo Shift knob

Exterior:
VIS Monster Carbon Fiber Hood
Socal Autowerks Carbon Fiber JDM style side skirts, fender flares
GT Fabrications 1 off carbon fiber trunk
Socal Autowerks 1 off Carbon Fiber front lip
Ericbla03 Carbon Fiber trunk Garnish
Carbon Creations carbon fiber M3 lip spoiler
Custom Skyline GTR midnight purple paint with a generous helping of blue and silver flake in it
JDM headlights with Acura TSX low beam projectors and carbon fiber housings
Liberal Carbon Fiber Grill
JDM Aspire tail lights[IMG]

Footwork:
AMR engineering custom coilovers with Hyperco springs and custom valving, 8K/10K spring rates.
RMDSM rear sway bar
AMR engineering adjustable front endlinks
Energy Suspension sway bar bushings front and rear
DC sports 1 piece front strut tower bar
Ingalls rear camber kit
Ingalls front camber bolts

Wheels/Tires/Brakes
Volk SE-37 K 18x8.5 with 245/40/nitto NT-05s
255/40/17 Hankook RS-3s waiting for a lightweight set of 17x9s for track only use
17x8 +38 Lancer Evolution 8 stock enkei wheels with Bridgstone blizzaks in 225/45/17 for winter
Complete lancer evolution 9 brembo brake swap. 4 pot front calipers with girodisc slotted rotors and raybestos ST-43 pads, SS brake lines, 2 pot rear calipers with no name rear drilled/slotted rotors and stock evo 9 pads. SS brake lines.
Castrol SRF brake fluid.

Future plans:

Finish piecing together my turbo kit.
Evo 8 head swap
English racing tune
Drive the pants off of it

here's what I started with

and then random progress photos

I also own the little red miata as well, the black one is a good friend's

This doesn't deserve it's own thread. Waste bandwidth on the dsm forums, not this one.

Cool ride bro. Once had a Legnum VR4 in 5Sp. over here. Motor rattled pretty good when the car sat for awhile...

a hard day of this led to this

which resulted in this

connecting rod decided to meet it's maker, not bad for 170K of daily driving and a bunch of track days, time for an evo swap

Has Mitsubishi, joins Nissan forum.

Installs wheels, brakes, seat, hood, but still uses oem tape deck. . .

Lowers front, doesn't lower rear. . .

Thanks for playing.
