1998 240SX SE Pearl White 72K Miles 5MT Bone-Stock!
VIN: JN1AS44D6WW107405
Clean title Asking Price: $11.5K and open to negotiation. FYI: "Do not trash someone's item they are selling just cause you didn't like it and also do not go in and flame a person because they are asking too much. Use the Private Message to send them a constructive message. You post will be deleted if you cant post anything constructive. Simply do not post if your not interested in the item thats being sold." I have for sale my 1998 240SX. I've looked continuously for one solid year before I found this car. It looks and drives like it's straight off of the dealer floor. Had plans for a big turbo, but it's just too nice of a car to molest. The less I drive it, the less I want to drive it because I know there is probably only a handful of cars out there like this. I am the third owner. The first owner put around 60K miles on it. The 2nd owner put around 2-3K mile son it, and had it in his garage for about 7 years. He intended to use it for an audio project, but had to sell due to his growing family + career. I put the remaining mileage on it commuting to and from work in about a year's worth of time. I put a total of probably 500 miles on it in the past year. It only comes out when it's a beautiful day outside. It otherwise stays in a garage. I have a daily driver that I use to commute with. Interior is 10/10. Exterior is 9/10. Shifting is butter-smooth. Oil changed with Mobile 1 synthetic and OEM Nissan filters when in my possession. Modifications: (Only modifications are from the previous owner) - Nismo aluminum oil fill cap - generic strut bar - Nismo shift knob - previous owner replaced the positive and negative terminals with really high quality audio terminals and audio cables. There are also some extra high cables in the rear of the car where the owner planned to mount an audio system. When I checked on these terminals, they were like $50-60, so I decided to keep them. - Nismo radiator cap Vehicle Issues: - It needs the plastic press in clips that hold the trunk lining in place due to the previous owner pulling the panels off. - A/C needs a recharge. It blew cold when I first bought it, but cold air stopped probably 5-6 months in. - X2 minor dime size ding on rear QP - some idiot at my apt complex cut into/out of a parking spot too sharply and grazed my bumper. Present on right rear bumper corner. There are absolutely no bumper misalignment issues. - missing the removable cigarette lighter (outlet works perfectly) - burned out foglight - tires have thread, but could use replacement due to age. I wouldn't doubt it if they were only the second set of tires on the car. - brakes have some slight runout when stopping aggressively at higher speeds (>70 MPH), but there is no pad indicator noise Looking mainly to trade for the following, but would consider selling outright for the right price (I need to figure out a selling price): - clean stock rust-free S13 COUPE +cash (I will be doing an LSX swap and am looking for this car) (a super clean Silvia front end would make me more interested) - LS3 swap parts + cash of course Let me know if you have any questions. FYI when I purchased this car and first registered it in NY, it passed NYS Inspections without a problem (safety check and emissions). Last edited by twin_vector_turbo; 04-22-2012 at 07:41 AM.. |

I beg to differ, there are some perfectly legitamate people on here who are honest, and will pay for it. I have been searching for a car like this for awhile, and I would be willing to pay whatever i think it is worth if i look at it. I wouldnt be a cheap ass mofo who is looking to rape someone on a clean ass car like this one

My apologies to all for not responding to PM's. Trying to decide on price for this car. It's hard to do when there are only 1-2 others in similar shape, selling for a good deal of money.
I am also trying to find the time to take pictures of all the imperfections on the car so you know exactly what you're getting. For all you low-ballers, don't even think you'll be getting a steal here. If it does not sell, I will be putting it away in storage. I am convinced that there is only a few hundred of these left (bone stock, not beat up). |

As far as shipping goes, I would consider it on your expense. I would much rather deal in person and have cash or some type of certified check. You would need to wait until it clears fully before the car even leaves the garage.

This car is worth WELL over 7k. Especially if he brings the couple minor modifications back to USDM/OEM. (shifter, oil cap, etc.)
Besides the one sitting in my garage (not for sale), show me a TRULY unmolested 98 kouki factory 5 speed that really fits the "excellent" condition category. This car and any 98 manuals left stock and taken care of are only going to go UP in value....and become harder and harder to find. My opinion...10k+, especially if he has paperwork to prove the car is what he says. GLWS, I'm looking forward to some interior, trunk, and motor bay shots. |
