S13 Wheel Noise
When I?m driving it sounds like a sequential gearbox coming from my wheels. You can hear it all the way through 4th gear and on decel without applying brakes. Don?t know if it?s the tire tread or something like the bearing or axle itself. Any idea what it could be?

Check all driveshaft bolts. I had 2 loose and the noise was so hard to find.
Jack up the back and run the engine in gear to spin the wheels to find the exact place the noise is coming from. |

Could be wheel bearings.
When you jack up the car with the wheel still attached, apply pressure at the 3 o clock and 9 o clock position. Then again with 6 and 12 o clock. If it?s wheel bearings, the wheel will rock in the sideways or upwards motion. Do you have a z32 ebrake in there or is it a factory ebrake setup? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

so if youre driving along at freeway speed, and you put the car in neutral and coast and let the rpm drop to idle, what does the noise do?
