2 Tone Sil coupe 2 week complete build
So a little background. I sold my 3 240's in like a week. It was crazy. In the midst of selling them all I did not take in the fact of what do I drive now...
I then went to my good friends at Lethal Injection Motorsports and I asked if they had any shells or cars I could just buy. With my luck they had an awesome rare two tone 1989 coupe that had a metal silvia front end that was almost perfect. It had been professionally painted 5 years ago by their painter. But right after it had been painted. It was put in the back and left there. So there is some serious clear problems to say the least. After buying the shell I really did not want to take it home and have to work on the ground and just take longer to build. So I worked a deal on using one of their lift spots. My plans were. SR, full suspension, sway bars, 5 lug, bigger brakes, change the interior to black and have a nice DD. This was all to happen in less then two weeks. Day 1 Pulled her around and gave her a bath. This is how it looked after 5 years in a spot in the back. I then find out its an automatic car. So i rolled her into a free spot in the shop. Next I find out not only was it a automatic car. It had and automatic RB25 ha and had a R33 cross member.. Woo more work Day 2 The motor arrived SR20DET from a lethal Customer that was parting their car out. We tuned it and such makes almost 300 to the wheels. He went ahead and put new belts, power-steering pump, new s14 alternator, new water pump, slave cylinder, and all new coolant lines under the manifold . I then come to find out it has a OS Giken Twin Plate surprises are always nice ha. Since the engine bay was painted flat black with 2 stage paint. So I made sure the motor would not scratch going in. I left and was tired and went home Day 3 Installed all the accessories and such. Fitting the Fmic and cutting the silvia crash bar :/... but it was ok it fits awesome. It started WOOO I guess I did it all right ha. My second SR swap. I then was all happy and decided to put the coil-overs on Day 4 So I couldn't figure out why the car would not stay running.. I checked everything and decided to check the gas tank.... I should of done this first... IT WAS RUSTED TO FUCK. The walbaro was toast... So the process of pulling the tank began FML. It was some what hard but just dirty and smelly SOOOO upon removing the tank I find this..... FUKKKKKKKKKK So a new project began removal of trunk/Spare tire well.. I almost burned the car to the ground at this point. So I decided that I did not want to hunt down a new trunk. I made a brace for the gas tank and I then installed the new un rusted gas tank along with the new fuel pump Day 5 I Really wanted to bring it home after all that had happened. So I mounted some decent rollers on it and drove it home finally woo Day 6-10 I went away for a couple of days for thanksgiving Day 11 I Started the day out by fixing the trunk.. Sealed it and riveted a piece of 1/8th in sheet metal as my new trunk I have a 5lug S13 240sx that I bought from auction and it got delivered while on holiday. I take the wheels off and find that it has a full adjustable suspension arm set installed already Then I find it has a brand new Nismo power brace. And finally it has a R200 diff I decided to drop the whole sub frame which would make so much less work for me. After dropping the sub frame, I then turned to the front end of my donor car to pull the 5 lug assembly off as well as the nismo power brace and the Q45 big brakes Now to install everything The pinch welds I went ahead and bent them, I as well relocated the wire harness in both fender wells. As far as I got before it got to cold and I had been working on the car for 10 hours at the time. |

Looks nice man. What was the original two tone color? Because the color the car is now wasn't offered in the US as a two tone. Looks damn nice regardless.

The way he worded it, I assume it was not a two tone, then painted to the rare color it has now. I could be wrong though. None the less, very clean car.

Good job mate, shame about the boot though. I hope you go back at some time and weld the piece in, or weld in a part of the boot from another donor, rivets are ugly....unless they're done properly on overfenders.
What sizes and offsets are your RPF1's? I've just ordered a set, and yours look to fit up pretty well. |

The cable inside might be snapped, or your wiring isnt right.
Easiest way to check if it wirks is to disconnect the two main spake connectors that go to the pole, one should be power, the other ground- put them On your car battery for a second or two to see if you can get the pole to move,or if thd motor works. |
