Something a "little" different -SR S13 hatch & S13 vert - High quality picture heavy!
Hey Zilvia, I'm Jake and I'm probably going to blow your mind here a little bit.
Here's me and the recently acquired 240sx's.... IMG_6364-2 by Touge Photo, on Flickr I'm a bit different from your typical zilvia user as you can see from the picture posted above. I don't let anything hold me back, I do what I want... and its a lot of fun. I love cars, and have a passion towards photography. If you're looking for a content deep build, I hope this will be it. I'm a very laid back dude, social, always down to meet new people with similar interests. Anyway, to get the ball rolling I traded this 95 Miata for the white 89 240sx hatchback with a redtop SR20 motor. IMG_3878 by Touge Photo, on Flickr IMG_3861 by Touge Photo, on Flickr IMG_9860 by Touge Photo, on Flickr I wanted a car with some power, a bit easier to slide then my NA anemic miata. (When it was stock, first gear is still fun) Slightly regretting it now, I've put very few miles on the 240sx and its running like garbage, actually not running at all at the moment. The fuel pump isn't priming, I think its the wiring to the relay. Along with the issues with the cars fuel pump, I'm also having to deal with blown/broken JIC coilovers, and a SR motor that is running very rich (well when it was running). I feel I got the bad end of the trade, but the guys drove up from St. Louis and I felt obligated to trade. Can't take it back, so might as well make the best of what I have. Enough Rambling. I introduce you, zilvia, to the great white buffalo. Day of the trade. IMG_9974 by Touge Photo, on Flickr IMG_9975 by Touge Photo, on Flickr All unburnt gas?! Runs so rich. IMG_9994 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Started cleaning, car was filthy. IMG_0014 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Picked this up right away to build a custom seat/pedal extension setup. Want to be as planted as possible while sliding this thing. Got two seats with sliders for $50. They're rough, I'll recover them at some point. IMG_0039 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Engine shots with flash, So janky in there. Suggestions on how to go about tucking cleaning this nonsense up? IMG_5481 by Touge Photo, on Flickr IMG_5480 by Touge Photo, on Flickr IMG_5489 by Touge Photo, on Flickr IMG_5496 by Touge Photo, on Flickr What is all this unconnected nonsense?! IMG_5507 by Touge Photo, on Flickr I'll stop here, and introduce you to Old Gregg, the 240sx convertible, tomorrow. |

Not sure exactly what you mean, it was shot with a T2i, and a Tamron 10-24mm. Basic vignette, contrast adjustment. I'm just that small of a dude.
So, the white hatch has Busted/blown Jic's on it right now. I don't have the cash to be rebuilding them quite yet. I was looking for a lightly used set of Megans or something to get by on and I was contacted by a rando on craigslist offering this entire running 5spd swapped 94 vert for $800! It was on Megan coils, and the under chassis was mint. Went to Milwaukee and picked it up, drove it 1.5 hours back to Oshkosh without an issue. I introduce you all to Old Gregg, Just one big downstairs mixup. Thats almost an understatement hahaha.
Look how gross this thing is. Just bought a shop vac to begin the cleaning, interior paint (floors), and I'll be installing the new seat, and pedal extension setup once its clean in there. IMG_0003 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Its salvageable for sure. Will make for a interesting daily come spring. Aero, wheels from the white car. And I'm thinking of painting it black. Not 100% sure on the color yet. Regardless, despite its looks its a lot of fun. Drives decent. Hard to turn with no power steering. That will be re-installed soon. Let my roommate take it out in the snow a bit ago. Welded FTW? hahaha. IMG_0420 by Touge Photo, on Flickr |

Out of the 17 cars I've had, only one was auto. Its hard to setup the clutch, there isn't much out there. I have a set fabbed up locally custom for each car. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. |

Lots of love in this thread, I like that.
Time to start dealing with Old Gregg. My friends are telling me to take the coilovers off of it and sell it for profit to use on the white car. But I want to make this car into a decent DD. It drives decent, just needs clean up and paint (and aero) What do you guys think, worth keeping or sell. I want to keep, I'm just curious what you all would do. IMG_7464 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Seats out! Race seat install soon. First I need to rip out the carpet, remove all the grossness and paint it gloss black. IMG_7467 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Don't worry its not rust, its like Glue with nasty foam stuck to it. The wire wheel and shop vac will take care of it. IMG_7468 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Started cleaning the wiring up on the white car. 2 240sx work-2 by Touge Photo, on Flickr |
