?!?!! Damn thing won't turn off 😂

95 s14 originally a manual car dash harness was burnt up when I got it, I through a auto dash harness in it .
Car won't start with key* just clicks --- think security issue? Hell if I know
( It starts like normal when I jump the starter with key in the on postion. If keys not in car won't start. So that's somewhat good.
But
Car won't turn off with the key. Also when i unplug the dizzy to kill it. The dummy lights stay on until either the "meter" fuse is pulled and or the FL75 all fuse or positive cable on batt... Car can be running and go to turn key to off postion it will drop Rpms but not enought to kill it..........
Any ideas ???

Is the battery relocated in the rear? If it is then you may not have enough wire gauge to carry all the power to crank. That's why you're getting the clicking until you put power to the starter.

If not, you may not have a good enough ground or powerful enough battery.

I'd start there first then take a look at the ignition tumbler and make sure all connections are intact.

Battery is in stock location.
Car started kinda of hard few turns of key then it would get the starting turning... and shut off was good no problems .
after the dash harness swap is when I started having these problems everything else works except the dimmer switch
