Post "Pick A Problem": 2 to choose from

91 KA24DE-T25

Yea so I have these problems and I'm offically stumpted on what the problem is after trying diff. methods and searching.

1.) On my SAFC 2 for the throttle percentage I noticed that I no longer get 100%, instead I get 97.1% even if I open the throttle all the way by hand.

2.) Problem fixed - high idle was due to bad IACV..replaced and now im purring at 750

3.) Problem Solved - Car is over boosting/spiking...Bad wastegate

Breadcrumbs: Im starting to notice some smoke from the tail pipe, light bluish, when I come to a stop.

I would appreciate ANY insight or possible directions to helping attain to these matters so I can take care of them before the drag/drift season opens.

Thanks

unplugging the throttle position sensor will change idle if your iacv is working right.

Your idle will be 50 rpm lower with TPS disconnected so shoot for 650 rpm to get 700 rpm.

well in that case Im gonna say that my iacv isnt working since adjusting the screw does nothing what so ever....when I unplug the tps (the grey connector) my idle just jumps up to 2k and holds i, so ill try taking apart the iacv and cleaning it .

1) Tried to reset the throttle in the safc2. It just convert min to max voltage to 0 to 100%. But if it could reach 100% before, then either wiring/TPS is bad or there is something is loose on the throttle body.
3) Check hoses for leaks, if not, then the wastegate is bad.

1) My safc2 is tellin me 0% thrl = 0.22 and 100% thrl = 3.810

3) Im just accepting the fact that my wastegate is bad, i switched hoses and tide them down and still just 10psi

after some more searching around im convienced my tps needs adjusting or its just bad. so correct me if im wrong with the voltage:

KA-DE maf
0% = .45 volts
100% = 4.0-4.5 volts

I have a downloaded FSM but i cant find where it tells the specs on the tps voltage. What section is it under
