SR20 swap

Alright so i'm doing a sr20 swap to my 240sx. Just connected everything and went to start it up it doesnt start. There is no spark. It turns over and you can smell fuel. Ive checked my coil packs and my ignitor on another sr20 and it started right up. Could it be a grounding issue somewhere?

check the ecu on your buddies swap too... could be fried or you could have the wrong ecu for your harness.

where did you get the ecu? i am guessing its not the one you got with the swap? its possible its for a different year SR, in which case you would have spark on coil #1 but not the other three.

Recheck your wiring to the ignitor. I also got a tuned ECU when I bought my motor, I just ended up buying another ECU because I found out I shorted out my ECU by not having the proper wiring. Had some wires touching.

well the ecu that in the car right now is not a tuned ecu. I have a buddy with a sr20 tuned ecu that we are going to try and see if it works.

I would check the ignitor, I had the same problem and it turned out to be the ignitor.

obviously not ignitor or coil packs, therefore its gotta be harness problem or ecu

S13 or S14 SR? Which ECU are you using? Check the CAS.

alright so last night i went out and bought another ecu and i threw it in my car and went to start it up, still didnt start. still no spark. So then i was thinking maybe it was the ecu agian. I went over to my buddys house and tried it on his sr20 and it started right up. So that means the ecu that i got with the sr when i purchased it was garbage but there is also another problem betweem the ecu and the ignitor. Because the ecu is good and the ignitior and the coil pack is good.
