I think most of you are missing the point here, so let me say what Blitz and I talked about.

The poor sportmanship reputation is following Jeff Jones and that is too bad, because the guy has great driving skills and the hunger to be the best.

The problem is mostly the people that were there yelling at other drivers and got excited for the well being of Jeff. The comp before this one, was the same situation. The people that sorround Jeff are not helping his image at all.

You come on here and talk all this like you are someone important and that is bringing lots to these events? Well you are, but not in a good way.
626 puts on events to teach drivers and that means that they may or may not be at YOUR Jeff's level. Years under your belt should reflect your skills, but not always.

But here is the problem. YES, problem that needs to be addressed by JXN and 626 STAFF.

1. Alcohol is not welcomed at 626 events.
2. Team mates or Friends of driver conduct themselves as what we expect from driver.
3. Rules for events and comps be written on paper and handed out to all that attend.
4. Spectators should sit at the stands with only one or two people in your pit crew.


I am not willing to put DTC name out there anymore untill this is taken care of. So as of now DTC PERFORMANCE WILL NOT SPONSOR 626 EVENTS.


We can not have people with such poor attitude ruin the plans for growth for 09'.


Threatening or challenging people on a forum is not a good way to demonstrate your tuff guy roles. If you can not have fun with out all the drama? Please do us all a favor and stay home.




FYI: JMJom,Adam or any of the loud mouths. You don't know me or know what I am about, So before you decide and attempt to talk to me like you did Skylar or Cfrost. I suggest you really don't!

Dont close the thread. It gives people the chance to show who they are, and give us 626 staff a way to really see whats going on.

Dudes attitude about the 626events is unfortunate. We are teaching alot of people to drift, and keeping it off the streets and safe. We are bringing people together and giving people a community of friends. We are providing people with a place to challenge themselves to learn drifting and learn to overcome personal challenges and get better and better.

Marks quote was public on myspace. And so I have no problem with it being quoted here. If you dont want everyone to know something, then don't say anything. It shows poor sportsmanship and I bet Mark won't say anything like that again.

Unfortunate DTC Performance won't be part of 626Drift till things change. But understandable.


And like stated by alot of peeps. Jeff is a great guy and a amazing driver. Just the people that are riding his coat tails are giving him a bad rep. But when your nobody, you gotta make noise to be noticed.
And Jeff is somebody, and gonna stay somebody, thats why you rarely see him here saying anything. He doesnt have to.





So it sounds like there was a few issues with the event, but nothing major.
All the DRAMA and NEGATIVITY seems to be coming from a couple drivers and their friends. Not the actual event.
Just thought we should publicaly state that.

Ok, I'll bite. From this angle, both guys seemed to have missed the clipping point. Mark seemed further off than Jeff, but I can't tell to well because this is almost a straight on angle.
Along the haybales, IIRC, there was no clipping point, so basically it's follow the leader's line. Unless there's a better POV on that first clip, I can't really say if Mark did the right thing and pass since he had the better line initially, or if Jeff had a better overall line since both guys missed the initial clipping point.
Although I gotta say, hugging the haybales is a much more exciting line than the one Mark took to pass.

So basically, I can't tell who had a better run because this angle sucks, lol.

How close were you supposed to be to the second clipping point. Because to me it seems that both of you guys totally missed getting close to it. You guys might have been equally far from the point, but at different times on the run. Seems like Jeff got as close as you did earlier in his run than you did. Comes from running different lines.

In any case, Jeff ran a more aggressive line by sticking close to the haybales while you took a super shallow line while passing. It's still super hard to judge because I'm just piecing things here and there to put together a run with a small POV. It doesn't look like Jeff understeered to take that outer line either.

I can't say for certain because I wasn't there, but this is what I can say of the run with what I've seen.

Sorry Mark, but Im with the judges on this one. Its Tandem, not clipping points. So if Jeff was off like he was, you gotta stick to him like glue and keep the gap closed.

I heard you were really killin it out there though!! Way to go! Can't wait to see you in action. (you been practicing in secret??) Lotta dudes where really inpressed with your driving.


BTW, video looks great guys. excited for both VRT and the DVD.
