Nissan announced today a price increase for the 2009 GT-R, raising the MSRP nearly $7,000 from $69,850 to $76,840. The price for the Premium model has been increased even more, going from $71,900 to $79,090 in one fell swoop. Fortunately, the adjusted prices do not affect customers who placed their orders with dealers before September 5. Nissan cited increased material costs as the reason for the adjustment.

Since the GT-R is already one of the best performance bargains on the market today and customers are paying a premium to own one, we doubt that the price increase will have any effect on sales. Still, $7,000 is a serious chunk of change that could go towards aftermarket toys from Cobb Tuning or HKS.

yeah lets all just go out and buy a car thats only been on the market for a couple months on autotrader because everyone that had 100K didnt really think it was that great and now they are ready to give it up for 75

While sponsoring Hyperfest this year, I had a chance to meet with a rep from Nissan's Corp. office who had the G35 on display. I talked with im about the recent posts of dealers selling the car that MSRPed for 75k (at the time) where being sold for ridiculous amounts of money. He said that's normal nation wide, What i dont undertstand is it's barely work the 75k mark why would anyone buy it for 100k when at that margin there are large selection of cars to give it a run for it's money.

I went to some car meet up in nyc ..Someone had it price tag still on ... he bought it for 110,345.34 .......... and he was some guy in a suit didnt know what he had just it drew a big crowd ... FAIL

They've been selling in excess of 110K which is complete bullshit because in about a year or two someone will be able to buy a V-Spec for about that much or maybe a bit more.

Thats supply and demand for ya. Dealers know these cars are hot and I hate to give the same bandwagon comment because $30k is a lot of cheese, but if you're even considering one of these it wouldn't be a problem at all.

Ah, first off, fix your grammar, its horrible and hard to read. Second off, did you just crawl out from under a rock? The GTR is kicking ass, on cars that go for twice its price. There has not been a car yet, in the 100k range, that has not been knocked off its pedestal performance wise, by the GTR. Let alone cars going for twice its price, I might add!
