Automatic s14 stalls when comes to stop.

Hey guys. I have an s14 automatic, all stock, that stalls when i come to a light or something. Ill be driving and ill come to a stop, and it will start to sputter/get real low in the rpms and then die. Ill have to put it in park and start it to drive off. If i come to a stop and put it in neutral it wont do it. Other than that it seems to run fine, so what could be causing this problem?

Anyone have anyidea?! Thanks for the help!!

it's not the tranny.. it's most likely your AICV air idle control valve.. it's failing, replace or just set your idle higher

When i hear your problem it sounds like an air issue, but you can't just know. You should begin your investigations checking regular preventive maintenance issues like your filters, both air & fuel, AIV, PCV, vaccum leaks the works...

Look for anything that would create an issue getting the necessary air & fuel into your cylinders and getting the mixture blown up. If you got idle issues then either something's choked up, your air fuel mix isn't combusting properly, or you've got some type of vaccum leak.

When you pull your plugs use this guide for clues: http://www.pdm-racing.com/features/plugs.html

Good luck.
