Ok so I'm having an issue swapped my s13 with an sr a few weeks back, had a problem with heater hoses leaking so I recirculated them and bled the system with one of those radiator cones. Now I don't know how to explain it but my car warms up at a normal rate but always runs a little under the middle, sometimes but not all the time when I get on it the needle keeps up and I cut it off before it get hot but at the same moment that I cut it off I click it back to acc mode the step before starting the car and the meddle drops way under the middle like it was never hot.

Get an after market water temp gauge. Stock gauge is crap. Your sensor is either going bad or your connector is bad.
