SR20DET problem.... no tuner shop can figure it out

I have a redtop sr20det w/T28
The problem I am having started a few weeks ago, basically the boost will
cut out between 4-5000rmp under load only. When not in gear it revs fine. The engine and turbo are both strong and I've tried almost everything I can think of to figure it out.

I've bi-passed the boost controller (still fucks up at stock boost)
tested the o2 censer
checked plugs (they look good)
checked for air leaks in intercooler pipes.
checked fuel pump
... I don't know

Has anyone had this problem or have any other Ideas?
the local place I usually go to couldn't figure it out either.
I need help.

I had a similar problem when the metal spring that goes in the stock intake tube was missing and would cause the tube to collapse at full load.

exactly, i know of two other ppl who have had this happen on sr's, i dont know how it happens but somehow the intake gets blocked and causes the problem you are having, i didnt think it was a problem until i started seeing it pop up on the internet a bit too. definitely check it out.
