What got you into the s chassis?
seriosuly im not gonna ask what got you into tuners or imports
because alot of us more then half even if you dont want to admit it got into cause of F & F. (yea you memorize all of the one liners thats why you repeat them again and again on rice threads) we all hate those movies now but we saw it again and again that summer of 2000 (or 2001) forgot. Quote:

Naw got an S chassis cuz one of my old neighbors had it. She was a girl and I was like damn thats a nice car! Actually was looking into buying a 3000GT vr4 or a honda prelude with the h22 motor. VR4 too expensive, prelude with h22 only in japan! Next best thing. S chassis!

Needed a car when I got into the Air Force found an S13 Fastback for sale at the "Lemon Lot" for $1600. Bought it and dropped an exhaust valve 2 weeks later and punched a hole in the piston. Learned about different engine swaps and started modding it.

Cruising with a friend of mine in his S14 on Okinawa in '99. He had full Veilside kit, sweet stereo, and the doorsills that light up. From that moment, I was enamored with his car. I asked if they had them back in the US, but to his knowledge they didn't. When I came back, I kind of lost hope. I drove around a few Integras and other cars, but didn't really find anything I liked. One day I happened upon a red fastback at a shady car dealer next to a strip club, and while taking the test drive, I fell absolutely in love. I got completely ripped off, paying $4880 for a 9 year old car with 140k+ miles. That said, I still own the car and I don't regret buying it one bit.
I regret cutting away my battery box for the custom short ram intake I had for awhile. I think Lisa fell for me because of it, and I can't recall having been embarrassed in it, beyond the time when the clutch crapped out on me at a freeway offramp. |

i honestly fell into one. i had a maxima that i had "upgraded." got me loving nissan. broke the maxima, so i needed a new car and i wanted to go rwd. my brother suggested a 240. we looked into it...5 months of looking and i found my 2 tone coupe and have loved it ever since.
embarrasing?....when i got a faulty rack and my steering locked, spun out run up a freeway entrance and popped a tire. bout it. that and when it was like 6 colors. lol. regrets? i dont think i have any. and my car definitely helps initiate some convo's, and gets me compliments from girls..especially about the color. lol. i love it.

I wanted a turbo car, I wanted rwd and I wanted to spend less than 10,000 dollars. my room mates brother got a mazda protege and i bought his 240 (that had not been washed in three years) and a front clip and a clutch and the konis and ground control setup all within the month of August 2003. periodically over the next few months i took apart the clip. with it all torn down and no place to keep it in the current condition i took it to someone to wire it all and tie up other odds and ends (best idea i ever had luckily). after about a month i was driving it and then the bug hit, i joined the forums and actually started to read things (im still a fool about most of it after six years) and try to put away as much money as i could on it.
everytime i stall the car. regret everything every time my bank account only has numbers after the period. but then its soon gone when i drive to go overdraw the account. i have met girls stopped at red lights in my car and that mug in my avatar sure isnt what I like seeing in the mornings. |

I was looking for a car and was just going around looking at preludes, eclipses etc. at sellers, etc. A guy down the street from my old house had an s13 for 400$ that ran, 5spd, sohc, still regret not getting it, I saw it and loved the way it looked had no clue what it was. So a year or so later I see this sexy ass red car in the parkinglot while we are at dinner, completly stock 98 240sx, wow i didnt even know they made them in this year/bodystyle! I take down the number etc. and do research and end up making the purchase not long after!
I regret spending money on stupid stuff when I should have done suspension/5speed swap FIRST. I love my baby, her name is Lucy, she is tempermental, but has her problems, but I would never give her up for another car. I wouldnt trade it for something nicer, I have an attatchment to my kouki haha. It helped me meet some girls, yeah, "omg you have such a nice car" etc. the girl im talking to now actually is turned on by the fact that I race... saweet! |

in middle school my friend had a foreign exchange student from japan living with his family. the kid was crazy about drifting. he gave me a couple of issues of option and i fell in love.
no regrets so far. it's a good conversation piece with girls. they always want me to take them drifting, so i guess that's good...

Fail.
Initial D is amazing and Tokyo Drift sucks. Success. Quote:
Fail. Don't buy a Civic expecting to get a Ferrari. Fail. To be honest, this should be grounds for a ban. Success. Quote:
Fail. Get an FD, total it and have it towed to my place.
