RWD SR20VET conversion: What is required?
Hey all, just been trying to search around the internet for information on what is required to do an SR20VET conversion on an S15 other then the conversion kit. E.g, what has to be done to either the car or the block/head itself so it'll bolt on all sweet?
Asking on behalf of a friend, thanks |

You should try researching a little harder. There are multiple build threads on this site, as well threads that include quite a bit of information about the swap in the tech section.

Apart from what I already knew in the topic "RWD SR20VE with no VVL", is there nothing else that's required? Just those links don't exactly go in depth. I did look but didn't find anything.

1.) google "mazworx vvl conversion"
2.) buy the stuff 3.) bolt it on 4.) post all other questions in the small questions thread

I already have a VE head that's pre-built. All I wanted to know is if there's more involved with it other then oil pump, solanoid relocation, timing and cover etc as my engine builder won't tell me in details what needs doing as my friend is trying to find out. I know I need the conversion kit, but thought you needed more then just that

Right, thankyou. What about the crank angle sensor? Looking at those topics, there's a bit of confusion as in I read some are saying they clear the firewall on S14/S15's but not an S13 and some say they don't at all?
