Well I got the transmission mounted up after some serious modification to the mounting bracket.

Tonight I wanted to start tackling the accessory wiring mess that has exploded in the car,

and wrap my taillight harness because I hate loose wires

But I can't find my electrical tape! I swear, I lose electrical tape like pornstars lose their virginity.

did work on that wiring, man lol. what are you doing for exhaust? im debating on either doing a y pipe and bringing it all the way back like a normal exhaust, or running a dual turn down style with a resonator on each side. I drew up some diagrams one day while sitting here on the computer but from where my house is being packed up to move to SC they got misplaced.

Friend of mine is doing it for me. Custom headers, into a Pypes 3" X-pipe, then dual 3" straights out the back. No cat, no muffler :3

A little setback was discovered today. My flywheel sits too far forward, the starter teeth aren't able to engage. Need to make a spacer for the flywheel so it sits back farther. Looks like the tranny's coming out.

Update, haven't had the chance to finish the wiring so I haven't tried starting yet, bit it might work. Guess we'll find out.

Got this in the mail today though!

She's got plenty of rooms for fans!

Got my transmission wiring extended (didn't want it on the frame rail because it'll get melted there so I extended it all) so my transmission/starter/alternator wiring is all finished and tucked up where it belongs.

Wiring should be completely finished tomorrow, minus the Dakota Digital SGI-8 for converting the tach and SGI-5 for the speedo signal if the Z32 tranny doesn't read correctly, which will happen later.

Thanks!

I got the catch can here.

Not much to update so far, I'm just trying to get my starter wiring figured out. I ordered a switch panel so I'll just do it through a relay.

But, dad and I switched stalls in the shop, he's going to start working on his car again.

So I took some pictures while we were outside.

Switch panel should be here by Saturday. I need to make a plate for my IACV delete, which I'll do in the next couple of days.

Thanks guys! I couldn't have done it without you Marv!

Well the ignition switch panel is installed and looking nice. I also re-assembled my dash!

Only thing happening right now is starter issues. The teeth move forward to engage but don't spin. If you think you might be able to help, here's a link to my issue thread:

Oh, and I also got a new mount for my GoPro!

Nope, car is unfortunately sitting under a foot of snow right now... Shop is full so I can't get it back in until it's got some room.

Got a quick release from a friend the other day.

I got the new starter in, it turns over and is very close to firing up but the timing is being very difficult. I have no idea why but it's really touchy and I've been trying to get it set today but no success yet.

Nice build man. Planning to do this swap when i return from afghan, are you using the stock clutch mastercylinder. Been thinking about that cause my are still has the stock slave with steel braded line all the way back.

Also the vh45de 91-95 put out 310hp. They are rated at 270 due to the gentlemens agreement with the US not to put out a car pushing more than 280. They used the power output of the engine with out vct.

Thanks!

Yep, stock clutch master cylinder for me. Braided line all the way back to the slave cylinder. (No clutch damper)

Yeah thats true about the HP, I found that very interesting, but all the better

I got some stuff in the mail today!

My Sentra brake booster which I got for $35 shipped off of ebay, since the stock brake booster doesnt fit with the VH. I also got a silicone intake pipe for my MAF from Extreme PSI, which eliminates the two large nipples on the stock pipe (not using them anyway) and plus it looks alot better too.

Booster (S13 on left, Sentra on right)

Intake pipe installed

The stock booster WILL fit its just a tight fit and requires some finessing. Looking good, hopefully you get that booster installed soon and get a first start out of this beast.

Hey Marvin!
Maybe it would fit with the Mazworx engine mounts (which sit lower than Xcessive), but with my Xcessive mounts, I needed at least a half inch extra space for it to fit. Even the Sentra booster is a tight squeeze.

Ahhhh, I see. How will this affect your hood? Do you intend on just cutting the hood or perhaps doing a reverse cowl? I still have not test fitted my Silvia hood so I am still undecided.

I'm not really sure yet. For now I'll run without a hood but eventually I'll end up going with a cowl hood I think. I don't really want to have one with the cutout in it.

Nope. Still doesnt start.
Also today I noticed for some reason whenever the battery is connected, my brake lights are always on, and my right blinker doesn't work. It is always lit up in the dash rather than only blinking when I hit the signal. I'm completely lost on this thing.

Why did you put your overflow tank on the left hand side? But nice build by the way, let me know when you make it here to Florida I need more coupe buddies.

Have you checked your rubber stopper for your brake pedal sensor? That's probably why your tail lights are always lit up.

I moved it to the drivers side because my catch can worked better on the passenger side and it would have been in the way otherwise.

Haha I will do that! I'll be looking for some 240 buddies to roll with when I get down there!

No, I thought of that too on the way into work this morning, I'll check it out after I get off.
