there's an overview of it at 16m45s, and the harness is installed a couple minutes later. You can see him building it earlier in the video: the bar mounts are welded to the rear wheel wells, and it looks like he just tacked a piece of round tube onto them. The ends aren't cut at an angle to facilitate welding the entire way around the bar, looks like there's just maybe a centimeter of weld holding the bar to the mounts.

Am I seeing this right? Does this look safe?

Oh ffs, I was cool with them doing jankey shit and driving there shit boxes around the block before junking the cars but now they are trying to be a "legit" drifting team and be apart of the community they continue the same shit. I get the point but if your trying to do something at least do it right. They cant even meet the minimum bar set on most people. God forrbid they drive there shit boxes and ends up hurting/killing someone because #haggard.
