some stuff i have done on my friends car the last couple of days..
Made our own power brace Boxed in the lower arms and cut off the steering stop's .. Plated some holes that I dont need anymore Made a better FMIC mount ... Also laid some body filler down on the tubs.. first thing i did was sleeve the frame then i made the bumper to frame mounts then welded in the last tube for the mount. The finished bash bar test fit the fmic piping and bumper

Most people buy trailer fenders or premade tubs that have them.

about 19.5lbs
if we were to do it again we can probably take off another pound since there was still area to the friction surface but we're happy with the result since this is going on a daily driver anything more than that would require the removal of the ring gear and more careful planning |

the only one I've heard that happening with
(posted in zilvia a while back) was of an aluminum one that was being used beyond it's designed power/torque capabilities lightening OEM flywheels is a very common thing I'll have it resurfaced and balanced aswell edit: years ago I was planning on having this place do it for me: http://www.racetep.com/flywheel.html |

I'm working on a vacuum block right now. When I get it done I'll post it up. My next project is an aluminum coil pack over for my RB. I will post pics as I get it started.

a) various companies already make them, we don't flood the market with parts already available.
b) they're cheap enough as is Quote:
they're not worth making for re-sale |

First, I thank those that have already replied to my original post on where to get the velocity stacks.
Secondly, I probably should have been a little more thorough. I am looking for a vendor, in the continental united states, that spins/fabricates velocity stacks of varying ID and OD. I've searched on google and found the vendors in Australia as posted, but with shipping I think it would be fairly expensive. Motivation: I'm looking to fabricate an intake manifold that will adapt to GTI-R throttle bodies. I am aware that the OEM plenum can be utilized by simply cutting the runners and flipping the plenum, but for aesthetics as well as fitment, I'd rather fabricate one as I have all the resources to do so. |
