Arrow 240SX Newspaper Ad

Picked up another '95 240SX recently. I've bought quite a few 240s over the years that came with a lot of cool documents. This one, however, came with the coolest document to date, the original newspaper ad for the car by Nissan of Bellevue. This owner LITERALLY kept every document for the car, even before it was purchased.

Anyone else have cool/interesting 240SX documents to share?

That’s awesome, especially awesome that it’s locally too.

One of my 240’s came with every single service record, even dating back to its first oil change in 1993.

So does the vin# of the car you bought match one on the ad?
Pretty cool, thanks for sharing!

That's awesome! This one has every service record since '95. Delivery sheet, first oil change, everything.

Yeah. That's the main reason the original owner kept the newspaper ad. Lol.

It's one thing to google 240sx msrp in the 90's and see them listed for the high teens brand new... But it's another thing to sit & look at an ad showing the car selling for $15k-16k off the lot. Crazy.

It's really common, even now a days. These awesome deals in the car sales business is called an " ad unit " which meant the car has been on the sales lot much longer than the rest of the cars, from reasons of car color, lack of or too many options and even just too many test drives, etc.

Usually the dealer gives incentive to their sales guys to push it for a sale for more commission even if it's a loser deal just so they can get newer units in. Still pretty cool though but majority of these cars were still getting sold pretty close to sticker price, or reduced at the front end(sales) and then they would get you in the back end(finance) with other stuff you didn't want and overpay for.

That's why care sales back in the day made much more money

^^^I was more talking about the emotional sentiment of a car that we all love selling for mid teens money brand new, in comparison to similar contemporary offerings today listing for double the cost. Ain't inflation a bitch?

Also, it's just cool to have that piece of your car's history preserved.
