Ka-t aem series 2 problem.
Hey guys. Well long story short, I finished building my ka and now time to tune it. Local guy has never tuned series 2 before but has done other sistems. So the problem im having is that i can drive the car normally like under 30% of throttle. Or with no load(boost) but if I give it more gas it starts to brake up. To me it sounds like miss fire. It normally happens around 4k rpm but if I go up a hill it creates boost earlier and does it again... idk how to explain it may be ill take a video tomorrow..
Im not very good with electronics and my tuner cant figure out why its doing it.. may be its a tune maybe a mechanical problem.. So maybe some one could send me thair map thats close to my set up and we could play with it and see if my tuner didnt set ignition right?! So here is my set up Ka24de Crower stage 4 cams and springs Ported head +1mm valves 3 bar map and air temp sensor Ls1 coil packs from a truck... Bkr7e plugs tried defferent gaps act pretty much the same. . Ive tried new distributor new coils.. Well im sure u guys would like more info. I just cant think what u could need.. so plz ask me! Sounds like a boost cut, I had the same problem when I was getting on KA tuned on EMS 2. Its under the advanced area. Unfortunately I don't have my laptop on me to tell you exactly where to go, good luck!

it's not a mechanical problem at all, it's a tune issue. I've had this issue with both of my KA's. break up under boost at around 4-4500k. Either the guy tuning your car isn't doing it right. (AIR to Fuel) or he doesn't have the right gear to know how to tune it right.
Stop replacing things and I highly suggest learning the EMS yourself, that way you can have a bit of knowledge on how exactly to tweak these issues.

So,a lil update.
I spent sunday setting up all brake points and some other stuff. (I found a video on YouTube. Its like 14 videos on how to tune ems V2) So car starts and idles really good now. Still have the same problem at higher load. So next im gonna try to play with fuel and timing.. ugh im scared lol Any tips on fuel and timing? Btw what max knock volts can I safely see? I know best is 0 but just so If I see some I would know to take away the timing. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2 |
