Everything is about wrapped up, just need to connect the upper radiator hose, go and get a proper fitting lower radiator hose, connect vacuum to the brake booster, and connect the battery cable to the starter.
The intake didnt fit as planned, so Ill picking up some new piping to change that up, but thats no big deal. |

Just wanted to share the information I received from some members on LS1Tech regarding the fittings on the fuel filter/regulator that were included in the Sikky kit.
The fittings included in the Sikky kit have a plastic insert and are a "snap on" style fitting, I have been informed that this style of fitting have potential to blow off due to high fuel pressure, sometimes resulting in a fire. (Please note this is not me bashing Sikky or their products) Here is a picture of the plastic "snap on" fittings.. (even though the feed and return labeling is incorrect) and the new improved fitting.. Needless to say, $40 in fittings for peace of mind is well worth it, so I just placed another order to summit racing. A few days delay in the startup, but the weather is supposed to be shit in STL anyway this weekend, so oh well.. |

It started!!
Tuesday was my last day working for the company I previously worked for, and decided to take the rest of the week off before starting at the new company. Tuesday night my fittings finally arrived and I was able to finally attempt to start the car.. and it fired right up on the first try. IT WAS LOUD.. my neighbors hate me Fixed a small coolant leak, wired up my E-fans, put on my y-pipe and went for a long drive today. It is awesome, the MS4 Cam is sooo aggressive, its crazy. Running straight pipe is way too loud for the street, so Im going to an exhaust shop in the morning to have a Vibrant muffler mounted, which I plan to have a clamp in place so I can remove the muffler at the track. |

Fresh alignment done
A pic of the current muffler I have. It's not permanent, because I honestly dont know what style exhuast I want yet.. but I like this for now. The knuckles feel awesome, I did a few 3rd gear test runs and I cant believe the difference. Well worth the small cost and I recommend them 100% to anyone |

Where did you order these fittings? Are the ones to the rail also improved? Mine popped of when I use to daily drive my car at the rail with my kids in it.
Great Build! Quote:

Quick clip from Midnight Madness the other week..
Cars running great. The power steering pump gets hot pretty quick and starts making a slight howl after back to back runs.. I am already running a cooler, but I am looking into adjusting the pressure. If anyone has done this before, let me know! Another event coming up on June 8th |

I am running a Walbro 255, and you wanting pics of the feed and return hardlines? Its pretty simple since I am using the Sikky kit (Corvette filter/regulator setup). If you research it you should find everything you need. |
