KA24E Crankshaft or Crankshaft cover issue??? HELP!
Hey anybody who can help me. Long story short when I pulled my transmission off it snapped the back of either the crankshaft (the tip where transmission slides into) or is it just a crankshaft cover that I broke. I ran outta time to remove the rear main seal to see what exactly broke.
My question is do i need to replace my crankshaft or is there a crankshaft cover on these engines??? Hopefully this makes sense and I was trying to upload pics to show what im talking about but file is too large and i dont know how to scale it down. Thank you for whatever help I can get from this post. If I figure out how to post pictures then i will update this post. |

There's not enough crankshaft sticking out for anything to break it. You may have broken the crankshaft seal cover somehow, but it's behind the flywheel (manual) or flex plate (auto).
