I'm deleting my stock air filter and I need to know about this black box shown in the top picture.how can I remove without getting check engine light?

It's been a long while, but I don't think that it'll throw a code.

ya im pretty sure when I had my ka in I didnt have that box in the engine bay at all and the car was fine no codes
