Help! No lights.
Please help.
I just got a 1992 coupe/auto(swaping to manual soon). The previouse owner had a light fenderbender. This weekend I swaped out the frunt bumper and headlight frames Got everything back together. Dumb admission- put the batery in oposite. Now the engine starts and the headlights illuminate. But the brake lights and all indicators don't light up The headlights will not flip. Auto windows and interior lights are out. The ignition swaitch will not release the Key. I think that it is an (a/c wild issue) as all the accasories that are not criticle work. So what happened? Did I fry some feuses or something? please help. Thanks. |

Holy fuck you spell like a tree stump.
You blew one or more of the fusible links. Replace as required.

due to cosmic forces...and the gravatational pull that jupiter is inflicting on earth, i would say that has impacted a positive/negative polatiry switch on the battery causing fuses to blow......

The temp dropped to 30 when the sun set, so I had to call it a day. I had a feeling that, that is what happened. I will check them this afternoon. |

They are all good. Is there a master fuse for: Indicators Brake lights A/C Radio Interior lights Window wipers Window switches It drives and the headlights turn on. that is it. |

Fusible links are under the hood. Check all of those too. Sounds like you blew one one or more of the 30A ones.

Im having a similar problem except when I replace the fuse. It blows again. This is the Alternator fuse if im not mistaken.
This began as a friend of mine removed my alternator in order to test it on his own car. I assume that when he put it back he must have plugged something wrong. As difficult as that may seem it is the only conclusion I give so can anyone be kind enough to describe how their alternator is wired up. There are 3 lines... Where do they go to. 1 is obvioius it has the plug, the other 2 are screwed on with nuts. Where to? thanks |
